Rockies are fighting for shot at playoffs, Pirates already won today, they are content with getting their win.. Rockies want to avoid losing two in a row to Pirates, especially at home. Will the Pirates beat one of the hottest and better teams in baseball twice in a row on the road???
Well I think I presented enough reasoning as to why I selected this as my game of the year.. Think this is a good one, win or lose I know I selected a game with extremely solid sound reasoning..
Anything can happen, but odds are on my side I think, Colorado should come out victorious in this one. GL

I hate playing ANY game at Coors, but this one looks like a pure mismatch! A little more info on our boy Hart. His ERA is a result of pure luck. Check out some of the classic Bill James/fantasy/sabremetric stats. Look at his batting average on balls in play: .267. EVERY pitcher over time is around .300. Same for his left on base %: .886. Again, over time, all pitchers come in at around .750.
Basically this guy gets into a ton of trouble, and through luck has wiggled out again and again. The chickens will come home to roost, hopefully today....

The way you diagnose the Rockies and their opponents, the Pirates, makes all too perfect sense in every sense of the word.
However it also reminds me of some of the diagnosis I read yesterday leading into the Minnesota Twins game at home against the Royals and we all know what the outcome was of that game.
