Guys I Want To Share My Grief And Outrage Over This Story

I was wondering if this story makes anyone as sad or angry as me. Enough so that you're having a great day, and you read something like this and no matter what you just can't put it in the back of your mind and it just eats at you.

This happened last night. I had finally finished with some things I'd been meaning to do over the All Star Break. I was in a great mood, and unlike others who crave the action, I enjoy the 3 days of relaxation.

I turned on Primetime Live and the story was about kids with Tourettes. Now that in itself made me well up but it's something that might stay with me for a few minutes afterward.

But during a commercial break there was a 'teaser' for the 11 0'clock news that went as follows -- "Coming up at 11, a Delaware County man is in jail tonight on animal cruelty charges for killing his wife's 3 year old dog with a sword."

Making it worse was they showed a picture of the dog and his eyes were identical to my best buddy Sam, a 16 YO border collie I had to put down 2 years ago. It's nearly 24 hours later and I still feel heartbroken for the poor dog. AND I'm enraged that this son of a bitch's greatest 'fear' now is not the loss of his freedom or the merciless beating that he deserves, but the loss of a wife he cares little about. I WANT HIM TO SUFFER!

It is a fitting punishment, but I've never seen a judge sentence anyone to it. He was in the county jail, so I'm sure he's home already. Probably in the same house as his wife unless she has other family to care for her.

The guy looks like a psychopath so I won't feel sorry for him for whatever punishment he gets, but...

IMO problems start when it makes a difference whether something (or someone) belongs to you or your wife.

That's the problem. When the sadness of the story loses its grip, and you realize it's a MISDEMEANOR the anger takes over.

There was a similar story here a few years ago. A family decided to get rid of a dog. I can't remember all the details, but I think they were moving. They gave their dog to two neighborhood teens who tortured him to death. The Fucks got PROBATION!

An attorney, hell, probably a public defender, will get the same for this scumbag.

few people cry over the slaughter cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys etc....that we eat....

i mean its for a purpose instead of just killing to kill it like in this case but still.....

I agree with the outrage, I just don't understand why there isn't
an equal or more outrage when a doctor sticks a scissors into
a live baby's brain in order to kill it during a partial birth abortion??

This shit just sickens me. I'm honestly just glad I haven't seen anyone of these guys that torture/kill dogs because I know I would literally kill these guys. It just pisses me off. I honestly get more upset hearing shit like this than I do if some serial killer shot some guy on the street. Dogs are just more helpless, and there is absolutely nothing for them to do.
