i must have it all wrong, my entire life i've always been
looking for pigeons and this guy has got them coming to him and

I had a problem with birds last year and there was shit all over my decks every day. My wife got a big wooden bird from Home Depot. It is supossed to look like a howk or crow. She put it on the top rail of the deck and they came back for 15 minutes and that was it. You also could try some type of scarecrow looking thing that looked like a person and put it in the yard.

yeah, i'm tempted to go to wal mart and buy a dozen bottles of dish soap and ejaculate them all over the dead spots in my back yard

Fire ants eat fleas, ticks and chiggers (or if you prefer - the more politically correct "cheegroes").

Fire ants and several other species of ants species aerate the ground which makes your grass more vital and deep rooted.

Fire ants are vital? Hardly. They were imported and are not even native to here. And they are basically only in the southern part of the country. That, and on a recent trip south I stepped into a mess of them and the motherfuckers bit me like crazy.

Nonetheless, in the southern regions of the USA (which includes Tater, if I recall), fire ants are extremely helpful in balancing the beneficial insect population.

That doesn't mean you need to allow them to build mounds near walkways or in high traffic areas of your yard.

You can disperse the mounds with a routine dose of Amdro (or other similar product) without blanketing the entire lawn with a poison as was inferred in the Page1 post.

I had a problem with them roosting on my house. Borrowed my friends air rifle and shot 25 of them over a 2 month period and they finally got the message. Never saw them again.
