remove some asbestos

clean up a bloody murder scene

remove some toxic/radioactive materials

etc.

it's a whole new way of doing business...you post the job you want done and price you are willing to pay...am going to do it again when i am ready to have hardwood floor installed...i will go buy the flooring and then offer someone to install for cash..if they don't like what i am willing to pay they will not reply...it beats having these people come to your house and giving estimates..i give them my estimate...

i was just surprised at how many people are willing to do something for 35.00...i do think it is a fair price...

The $35 is fair for an easy job like caulking. I'd buy the caulking ( high quality) myself, and then pay like $25 for the job, but I'd do it myself, of course.

I'm less sure of hiring an unlicensed contractor for something like hardwood ( laminate ?) flooring installation.

I could see this for lawnmowing....can't screw it up too bad.
