no way. ball isnt worth even 50K
He's probably got that thrown in "I reserve the right to scalp whatever games I don't feel like going to"he can still make a shit ton selling the tickets to games he doesnt want or can't go too
I am really torn on this.
1. He is considered compassionate, classy, and an all-around good fellow for doing what he did. Karma, if you believe in it, will really be on his side for the future and people will look kindly upon him. The Yankees and Jeter will think kindly of him.
2. He just cost himself a couple hundred k of dough, people will forget who caught the ball over time and his good actions will not be remembered.
I am not a die-hard fan like this fellow, so I think I would've ransomed the ball at the risk of being called greedy, selfish, and a prick. I'd rather be called that stuff with thick skin and be a couple hundred k richer.
I doubt anyone would've called him that.
Also, as far as the suite tickets. Just because that is what the going rate is for them doesn't mean he can get that on the open market. It is kinda funny the Yanks gave him that though considering nobody else is buying those things for KC royals games.
He's probably got that thrown in "I reserve the right to scalp whatever games I don't feel like going to"
It's 9600 dollars for a premium game (Red Sox or Mets etc)
It's 7400 for a regular game,(KC Royals or Chicago White Sox)
Let's say the average is 8500 x 42 home games that's 357K
Now if he got the nicer suite it's 11.8K and 8600 a suite per game.
He's fine
