Bush can't sign the ban extension because it stalled in Congress. You can blame that partly on the NRA if you want. If Kerry wins and his plans are blocked by the Republicans, bills like this won't see the light of day. IOW, I'll be buying a TEC-9 so I can go elk hunting.

The problem is they don't enforce the laws they have on the books.

I made my Ruger .22 semi automatic fully automatic when I was 14 years old. That combined with a 40 round banana clip made furry woodland creatures scamper for their lives.
