I think MAX MAN is a very strong choice. The offspring of Spanish Steps have the most competitive dividends in this group for first time starters. First time starters out of this trainer's barn have produced some of the best returns for 1st time starters in this group. No strangers to the winner's circle, McPeek and Desormeaux will probably have this colt breaking away from the field. TAKE IT ON HOME - Ought to be given a chance here on the basis of the numbers in the speed realm alone. Looks respectable versus this group and will probably be one of the early speedsters. BEHIND THE PEW - Will probably come out strong - I have liked the way this gelding has moved promptly to the lead recently.

I will probably play $20 on the #4 for 3rd place money--realfire

FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. WEIGHT, 124 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE SINCE DECEMBER 11, 2008 ALLOWED 2 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $35,000, IF FOR $30,000, ALLOWED 2 LBS.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

# 11 RUNNING WISH 8/1

# 8 CHIHULYKEE 5/1

# 1 CAESAR BEWARE (IRE) 5/2

RUNNING WISH has a very good shot to take this contest and is a formidable value-based wager given the 8/1 line. CHIHULYKEE - He has a good opportunity in this competition as trainer, Ward, has very strong win clip with horses going this distance. Seems to have a very strong class edge based on the latest company kept. CAESAR BEWARE (IRE) - Has garnered solid Speed Figures in turf sprint races in the past. Win percentage one of the most favorable in this group of horses in this race.

Race 3 - Maiden Special Weight - 6.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $40000 Class Rating: 92

FOR MAIDENS, THREE YEARS OLD. WEIGHT, 122 LBS.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

# 10 ANTITRUST 6/1

# 4 WORKING CLASS HERO 10/1

# 1 ALL THE BASES 4/1

ANTITRUST figures to be the bet in here. First time starters by Tale of the Cat are sound wagers. Competitive returns have been scored by risk takers following this sire's progeny in their first tries. Don't overlook this pony as the handler has produced strong dividends with 1st time starters. WORKING CLASS HERO - Good chance to land on the board as sire's offspring have been running very well lately. The progeny of Put It Back have produced very solid figures moving in their first asking, combining for a +10 return on investment. This conditioner has produced strong gains in maiden races to date, winning 21 percent of the time. ALL THE BASES - Could provide positive returns based on strong recent speed figures with an average of 84. I like the jockey on this colt - formidable chance to win the contest.

Race 4 - Claiming - 8.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $16000 Class Rating: 96

FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. WEIGHT, 124 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE AT A MILE OR OVER SINCE DECEMBER 11, 2008 ALLOWED 2 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $16,000, IF FOR $14,000, ALLOWED 2 LBS.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

# 7 YES HE'S THE MAN 12/1

# 11 DIAMOND ISLE 8/5

# 10 MINIDROP 6/1

YES HE'S THE MAN is the most favorable bet in this affair especially at 12/1. Has been racing in the most competitive company of the field as of late. Is a strong contender based on figs recorded recently under today's conditions. DIAMOND ISLE - He has been racing admirably recently while recording strong speed figures. He has a good opportunity for this event as handler, Dutrow, has sharp win clip with horses going this distance. MINIDROP - Could beat this group given the 93 speed figure put up in his last outing. Solid average speed figures in dirt route races make this equine a definite contender.

Race 5 - Maiden Claiming - 8.5 furlongs on the Turf. Purse: $30000 Class Rating: 92

FOR MAIDENS, THREE YEARS OLD. WEIGHT, 122 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $80,000, IF FOR $70,000, ALLOWED 2 LBS.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

# 7 TRIBAL BEAD 3/1

# 15 BRADY THOMAS 5/2

# 16 LAMAR VALLEY 5/1

TRIBAL BEAD is my choice. Could provide positive dividends based on very good recent Equibase Speed Figures with an average of 79. He looks very good in this spot and I expect will be on the front end or close at the midpoint. Seems to have a strong class edge based on the recent company kept. BRADY THOMAS - May best this group of animals here, showing competitive numbers of late. Dutrow has a strong 20 percent win rate with entries running at this distance and surface. LAMAR VALLEY - The speed fig of 84 from his most recent race looks very good in here. He should be carefully examined given the very good speed figures.

Race 6 - Claiming - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $27000 Class Rating: 78

FOR FILLIES THREE YEARS OLD. WEIGHT, 121 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE SINCE DECEMBER 11 ALLOWED 2 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $30,000, FOR EACH $2,500 TO $25,000 1 LB.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

# 3 LUCKY LIZA 4/1

# 9 SOCA DANCER 8/1

# 2 GLACIAL FLOUR 10/1

LUCKY LIZA has a very strong shot to take this race. Has very good early speed and will probably fare solidly against this group. Boasts solid speed figures on average overall when compared with the rest of this group. Is difficult not to look at given the company run in recently. SOCA DANCER - She looks solid in this spot and I expect will be on the lead or close at the halfway point. Has to be used in the exotic wagers. GLACIAL FLOUR - Has very strong Equibase Speed Figures and has to be considered for a bet in this race. The winning percentage shown by horses entered by Salinas running at this distance are the strongest in this group.

Race 7 - SA - 8.0 furlongs on the Turf. Purse: $15500 Class Rating: 96

FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE STARTED FOR A CLAIMING PRICE OF $12,500 OR LESS IN 2008-2009. WEIGHT, 124 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE AT A MILE OR OVER SINCE DECEMBER 11 ALLOWED 2 LBS.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

# 14 VALUE DRIVER 5/1

# 4 CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH 6/1

# 12 GOLD HOUSE 8/1

My selection in this race is VALUE DRIVER. With a nice Equibase class figure average of 96, has one of the strongest class advantages in this group. He has posted solid numbers under today's conditions and should fare well against this group. Is difficult not to look at based on Equibase Speed Figures which have been solid - 87 avg - of late. CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH - Must be considered - I like the numbers from the last race. Has to be given consideration versus this group of animals displaying competitive figures lately and an average speed figure of 89 under similar conditions. GOLD HOUSE - Has competitive front-end speed and will probably fare quite well versus this group of animals. Looks strong for the conditions of this race today, showing solid figures in turf route races recently.

Race 8 - Allowance - 9.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $42000 Class Rating: 99

FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NEVER WON $7,500 OTHER THAN MAIDEN, CLAIMING OR STARTER OR WHICH HAVE NEVER WON TWO RACES. WEIGHT, 124 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE AT A MILE OR OVER SINCE DECEMBER 11, 2008 ALLOWED 2 LBS.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

# 4 SR. HENRY 5/1

# 3 STEVIL 8/5

# 5 SOUTHERN TERMINUS 6/1

SR. HENRY is my choice. Reason to like this gelding as he has in the irons one of the best jocks using winning percentages over the last 30 days. Is a definite contender - given the 93 Equibase speed fig from his most recent race. Is tough not to consider based on Equibase Speed Figures which have been strong - 87 avg - of late. STEVIL - May best this group of animals here, showing very good numbers of late. Horses who have been prepared to race at this distance and surface by Zito have shown strong results lately. SOUTHERN TERMINUS - Always hard to beat Pitts and Leparoux working together, winning 20 percent of their races. In fine fettle, and coming back almost immediately again this time out.

FOR MAIDENS, FILLIES THREE YEARS OLD. WEIGHT, 121 LBS.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

# 16 SUZ SLEW 4/1

# 2 RAJPUR ROAD 4/1

# 15 WACCAMAW 5/2

SUZ SLEW looks very good to best this field. RAJPUR ROAD - Look for a very strong pace improvement from this animal who enters with second time Lasix today. Has quite good early lick and will probably fare soundly against this group. WACCAMAW - Should compete admirably in the pace contest which bodes well with this group of animals. Had one of the best speed figures of this group of horses in this race in her last contest.

budding trainer/jockey combo and figures to land the right kind of
trip in here. Solid chance! CEASAR BEWARE and MEAN DEMAND have

Time comes from an outfit that has a great record with such types.
Draws the always advantageous open outside post and will take some
beating in here. The obvious choice! MOUNT WILTON and MINIDROP
will battle it out for the minor awards.

should also be a very square price. Pay attention. KHUKURI and

most deserving of top billing in here. Kick off the final pick

8 PEGASIAN 12/1 The blinkers can complete the package. 87 114

STEVIL stretches back out around two turns following an excellent
effort in his 2009 seasonal debut last month. Four year old
Kentucky bred son of Maria's Mon will use his tactical speed to
carve out an absolutely perfect trip in here. Come on and beat this
colt to collect! SR. HENRY and FORTY ZIP appear to be at his mercy.

TODAY'S PICKS : 11 - 3 - 10
Exacta Box : 1 - 4 - 10
Trifecta (part wheel) : 3 with 1,10 with all

1 MOCORETA 20/1 Likes to rally from far back. 86 113
2 MR. MYSTERY 20/1 He can be effective at this level. 81 113
3 MOUNT WILTON 4/1 Ran quite well versus similar. 91 116
4 STRAIGHT MONEY M 8/1 The class drop figures to help. 82 112
5 FIVE STAR JOHN 8/1 Veteran likes to finish second. 88 114
6 DON'T QUESTION 20/1 Stable is effective with turf to dirt types. 79 111

8 CARGO MATE 12/1 He's better than the recent - don't ignore. 82 112
9 I'VE REPENTED 12/1 In and outer is capable on his best. 85 114
10 MINIDROP 6/1 Last one was a beauty. 88 117
11 DIAMOND ISLE 8/5 He could dominate at this level. 93 118

DIAMOND ISLE plunges down the claiming ladder after coming up short
when facing significantly tougher rivals in his two previous starts
at the current meet. Seven year old Kentucky bred son of Gilded
Time comes from an outfit that has a great record with such types.
Draws the always advantageous open outside post and will take some
beating in here. The obvious choice! MOUNT WILTON and MINIDROP
will battle it out for the minor awards.

16 LAMAR VALLEY 5/1 He will be charging in the final panel. 80 111

DUKE OF MISCHIEF heads back into action and tries the turf following
a seven month sabbatical. Three year old homebred son of Graeme
Hall is a half brother to the 2005 Grade III Tropical Park Derby
winner Lord Robyn who incidentally is entered in today's second
race. This colt will represent a potent trainer/jockey combo and
should also be a very square price. Pay attention. KHUKURI and
GLITTERMANS CARTEL will attempt to rain on his parade.

in a field that's loaded with "need the lead" types. Watch today's
BEST BET mow 'em all down through the stretch on her way to the
Winner's Circle. BRANDY BAI and ELUSIVE APPEAL will hang around for
