I don't like Gailey, and I think this is a spot where an inconsistent Tech team may have a poor performance off two easy wins. However, the line's getting a little out of hand at +5, especially for a game in which the posted total has dropped below 40. To put this in perspective, Wake opened at +5.5 at home vs. VPI and got bet down to +2.5, and now this line's going to get bet up past 5? As well-coached as Wake is, and as much as I discount Gailey's coaching, Tech is still better than Wake. At the same time, you like Tenuta, and you're referring to last year's Thursday game vs. Maryland, where the score was 7-3. Perhaps you want to take the under here. I'm on it at 41. Also, take Clemson & State to go under. Hope you played the Maryland/Clemson under last week.

you think the public perception is VT is that much better than GT, I see
similar teams, like PJ and VT's D more than Imoh and GT's D. Both QB's can be
spotty but can hurt you with the run when things break down. Both have a
promising young receiver. Both teams have shots at a meaningful bowl invite,
with the winner a leg up in that regard. I still like + points at home.
