Dragoon? True, he isn't hiding it much. I was referring to him, not you.
Colts having a lame offseason given all the cap space they have. I get the long-term vision if you just paid Luck his first extension after his rookie deal and you're slowly configuring the team in a way to deal with your star QB no longer being at a steep discount but he's in his 8th year, they should just be going for it.
Don't hate any of their moves or anything but just seems like they could've done a little more. They play cover 2 zone, get Earl Thomas.
They are doing it right. Once you have a legit franchise qb and get him protected. Focus on defense.
The mistake the Colts made in the Manning years was every draft became about getting Manning " another weapon" Once you have a Manning or Luck. No matter what you put around them on offense they will be good. Dominic Roades ran for like 1,100 yards as an undrafted rookie with Manning. Put him on the Brown and he is nothing.
This time around. Now that Luck is healthy and the line is above average ( need to get a right guard or tackle). Colts have 2 picks in the top 34. Should get 2 starters out of that. Obviously this is a highly defensive draft. Both starters should be defensive. A corner and an interior lineman or edge rusher. Houston is a stop gap to get pressure in the meantime.
Thank God they didnt pay Bell. That would have been a waste. I don't trust him not getting hurt anyway.
What I am saying is and you have seen it with Brady. When you have a great quarterback and thats the hardest part to nail, your offense will always be around 27- 30 a game. If you can nail on defense and simply hold the opponent to 2 td's and 2 FG's a game you not only win, you will be covering.
Last year was the best Colts defense I have seen in a long long time. Darious Leonard is already the best weakside backer in franchise history.
Colts still need a 2nd receiver though but again once you have the qb, it becomes easier. No one has heard of Dontrelle Inman and if he played on a shit team he wouldn't do anything but he has Luck so he catches balls.
Colts safeties are good if they can stay on field. Hookers and Gathers.
One of those first 2 picks will be a corner. Weakest position on roster
