Think Bonner is a good fit for this series - Memphis is a slow team - Bonner is not going to get left in the dust like against Golden State where he stopped getting minutes - Bonner also happens to be the best 3 point shooter in the game if he is open

Indiana can beat Miami - so can SA or Memphis - whatever talent Miami may have over SA is offset by Popovich coaching against a Spolestra

I mean, ZBo or Gasol should be a major problem for him. Just like they were a major problem rd 1/2 when those teams tried to not play 2 bigs vs Memph. If they can get away with it will be good for them though. ZBo obviously doesn't wanna contest that far out. The way ZBo played last few weeks doesn't seem like you can get away with playing Bonner on him for very long. Who knows though, he was awful today.


Re Miami. I doubt it but that isn't exactly a unique opinion on my part. I think people underrate how good they are a little compared to last year. Bosh was hurt in the playoffs last year and missed significant time, they didn't have Ray Allen or Birdman (say what you want about them 2 but they are huge upgrades over what they did have) and LeBron James is by far and away the best player left in the playoffs it isn't even close (not even a Durant or a Kobe left to stand in his way in that sense)

Also re: Spo/Pop....There is a famous saying in basketball "It ain't about Xs and Os, its about Jims and Joes"

even though Bonner stretches the floor nicely. Advantage should go to the Grizz when he is on the court. Especially for Gasol & Zbo. Offensive Rebounds, easier low post/high percentage shots. If Bonner shot is off, then he is not providing much help to the team

its just one game, i still see this being competitive. the series doesnt start until one or the other takes away home court.
