SportSavant made a great pick yesterday and cashed a nice middle which made me think...What was best the pick at the forum and who made it?

For a non-forum pick...Lou Diamond picking Chris Moneymaker was legendary.

My opinion (sorry I am a little bias, LOL) this thread was the best thread of all time here for winning a middle. A bunch of us made a killing that nite. If you have the time read this thread all the way thru it is well worth it (IMO).

Not bullshit. I remember reading this somewhere but the story is Diamond was on the rail of a WSOP tournament before the main event. Diamond was so impressed by Moneymaker he went up to him even without knowing him and told him he was betting he would win the WSOP Main Event.

Moneymaker has confirmed this to be true.

Sounds like a cute little story made up after the fact. From what I understand, he isn't a very good player. Not the type of player someone knowledgeable would say "that guy is good, watch him". I don't know enough to say one way or the other. Not to mention that he chose CM out of 838 other choices. Like I said, sounds like bull shit made up after the fact to make for a nice story.

Moneymaker is full of shit and so is Lou Diamond. There was a thread about this a while back over at the LVA sports forum and Nolan Dalla, the tournament director, made a post and completely refuted everything Diamond claimed. Something about CM not even being on the board until after Day 1 and Dalla not knowing that Moneymaker was his real name and having to track him down and get his name so he could put him on the board.
