Fred Lynn's pinch hit grand slam in the 83 game. The only grand slam in all star game history. Lynn was MVP with only the one at bat and no on field play. After Robin Yount was walked by San Francisco staff ace Atlee Hammaker to load the bases, Lynn responded. He deposited a 2-2 slider from the left-hander into the right-field stands for the first grand slam in All-Star Game history. The American League scored seven in the inning and cruised to a 13-3 victory. The 1983 All-Star Game was his last of nine straight appearances in the classic.

Bo Jackson putting on a hitting clinic in the home run derby then doing the same thing in the game in Anaheim. People at the game were like "wow", but those of us that were there the day before remember him hitting it much further with a couple going over 500 feet according to reporters.

RIP Ray Fosse you're once promising and all star career was derailed by asshole Pete Rose who took exhibition match way too seriously by bowling you over.
