If they can find a way to get SAPP the ball, they sure as heck should have been able to find out how to get Keyshawn the ball

Or better yet.....

You mean you can design flea flickers for your defensive tackle, but cant get your best receiver the ball

Irvin is an idiot. I hate to break the news to you but Johnson is not a great receiver. He was the #3 go to guy on TB. TB tried to trade Johnson for weeks before deactivating him. No NFL team was interested.

I am not a Bucs fan, but KJ is their best overall receiver IMO, and the best they have had possibly ever.

People don't like Irvin now and seemed to like him even less when he was playing.

He is biased, but I think the guy is pretty insightful, not an idiot. I enjoy his comments on ESPN because he speaks his mind, he is funny and he makes a lot of sense, especially compared to most of the meatheads.

I agree with Pretending...As an Eagle fan I always hated the guy, but as a commentator he is very entertaining.

McCardell has 10 x's the heart than Keyshawn will ever have.

It was the same crying shit here in NY when he was "the man" with the Jets.

It's always someone else's fault when Keyshawn doesn't get the ball ... it has nothing to do with his half ass routes when he's not the primary WR on the play, or his inability to take a premeire corner 1 on 1.

This guy needs a big STFU slap across the chops from Sapp.

Well put lander,
He takes more than he contributes to any team with his horrible attitude. I bet no team offers anything to TB for Keyshawn after the season. Maybe he can join Irvin on ESPN and they can give "props" to each other.

Robfunk, I'm glad at least you have a clue. Yes Key can be a jerk, but no receiver in the league goes across the middle to catch balls and takes the punishment he has game after game, only to get up and look the defender who just popped him in the eyes and signal first down. The guy gets open, period. And if he's not open, that means he's drawn a double or triple team creating an opportunity for the other receivers.

Key is the greatest reciever in NFL history that was unable to catch clutch passes and who did absoulutly NOTHING to contribute to his teams success.

thanks guys. i kept thinking no one would agree with me and i shouldnt have said that but im glad i did. the other thing you have to look at is how weak the offensive line is for tampa and Key is often making akward grabs in tough spots right while QB brad got drilled. he made so many grabs in traffic that were just unreal to keep drives alive. he did this on national television so many times i dont see how everyone forgets this. tampa is so banged up right now, its killing him theyre not the same team so his intense competitiveness is now viewed as a negative thing, and now people just want to point the finger.

Rob, I don't think we are going to get many to agree with us on this subject, but fact is I've seen every single game Key has played for Tampa, many of them in person, and I know first hand what he has done for this team and what he can do.

He's been on live the past hour here in Tampa on 620 AM, and he is claiming he has not missed any team meetings, functions, etc. He also reiterated that he did tell Gruden he did not care to play for him in 2004, but said he would not go public with it and play out the rest of the year 100%. Guys, and this is exactly what he's done. He didnt speak up publicly, and I've seen the games and he has jeapordized his body on several pass receptions. He hasn't "layed down", he was still giving it his all. Tampa just destroyed their chances of getting anything good in return for him by cutting him off. They should of done like Key and kept quiet the rest of the year in order to receive some nice compensation for him this offseason. Now not only will they not get a nice draft pick or players in return now, they really put themself behind for the future based on the 2 no. 1 picks they gave up to attain him. They could of probably gotten one of those number 1's back for him, but looks as if Gruden won the battle of the egos this time and screwed that up.
