For some unknown reason, the management here thinks those popups are a good idea. What they fail to realize is people hate them and studies show visitors are likely to stop browsing a website when there are popups.
^^^ It makes me hate SO and I don't even know what they do. I guess it's different opinions on marketing. Just the same as telemarketing.....makes no sense, but companies still believe it works.
Yeah well certain mobile phones don't have pop up blocking capabilities. Second off they have ads already all over the site. Pop ups are entirely different. Pop ups are a shady marketing and advertising technique. But you can continue to defend the rx because it's "free".
Just find it amusing that people bitch about a pop up that goes away for everyone who clicks already have SO but you. I could give 2 shits about what the RX management or you think about me. Hope your day gets better.
