Well had a nice 4-0 ATS last weekend in the NFL playoffs and see if I can continue that today as both games should be great today but this is what I like today:

Arizona (+4) Well in the first matchup on Thanksgiving night in Philly the Cardinals had one day of practice to get ready for the Eagles and it should as they had 4 turnovers in that game and looked like that they were not prepared for that game. Now the roles are reversed as they are playing at home in front of the home fans have had an extra day to get ready and one thing if you remember in the first matchup is that they didnt run the football at all in that game. Now with James back in the fold its just opens up more things for the offense for them to do but they must get the run game going today. On defense you must create pressure on McNabb as he hasnt been touched in the playoffs and limit Westbrook on first down as he does so much for this offense as the Eagles WR are ok but not great but McNabb goes to Deshaun Jackson for the big play and Kevin Curtis to get the sure first down and must limit them and bump them off the line of scrimmage to get them off there timing and the linebackers are they key today for the Cardinals.I think this game will be close throughout as both teams find ways to exploit weaknesses but somehow in the end I think Warner pulls one out and wins 27-20 but taking the points today.

Pittsburgh (-6) They key today for the Steelers as it was last week is that Willie Parker must be able to run the football at this Ravens defense today to open up other things as he is the healthiest that he has been this year and must find ***** Miller today in the middle od the field as the Ravens will be hurting on Defense with Suggs not being 100% and that mean ray lewis must go out in Coverage and he cant do that great imo. Also with Rolle being not 100% also means Holmes and Ward should find some holes today downfield but the wildcard today could be Nate Washington as everybody forgets about him but he usually makes a big catch for the Steelers to keep drives alive when they need it.
On defense the Steelers must contain the Ravens run game with McClain on first down as he has had good games on this defense and with the crowd noise today the Ravens dont want Flacco in 2nd & 3rd in longs today. The Steelers must put heat on Flacco to make him make mistakes today and think they will able to do that today in this matchup.I think this game will be close for a bit at first but the Steelers start wearing out this defense in the second half and win here 27-10

BOL to everybody today and enjoy the games ! Gravy :103631605

If you are counting on Jim Johnson .. giving-up that many points today.
you are probably right.
but,,I see NO reason to believe it.

only 4x did he give-up that many ...
and only 1 time in the past 2 months.

true but isnt the Eagles secondary banged up right now and you better blitz Warner today or he will pick apart that secondary.

Not so much the game ..
the FACT that the Cards CAN'T run the ball on the Eagles, is the big point.
(25 rushing yards total)

and the longest TD pass warner had was a measly 7 yards.

7-6-1 yard TD passes

the Eagles 185 yards rushing.

these are valid points.

Remember that James was benched in the first matchup and the Hightower experiment failed and now James is now back for this game. Also they had a Sunday game had 1 day of practice and had to travel to the east coast for that game in 4 days. Now at home and 8 days of rest makes a big difference imo for this game.

Well, again we are on opposite sides Gravy, which saddens me.

I strongly believe that ARI's suddenly resurgent run gm is due to Edge's fresh legs (and Free Agent motivation) and ATL & CAR's soft run "D"s. PHI has the #3 "D" in the land, and this will be by far the best "D" they've seen since MIN (which was @ home, and PHI beat MIN in playoffs). I think PHI had the much tougher road to get here, and ARI is really excited to get the "relative upsets" against the now exposed NFC South.

You are correct in ignoring the Thanksgiving gm, but if you look at the 2 teams' path to get here, PHI is much more tested, esp since they haven't had the luxury of being at home.

Anyway, last wk you got the prize, so am I to argue?! LOL! Can't wait for super bowl!

Go a nice 2-0 ATS today and have been doing well in the NFL playoffs going 6-0 ATS the last 2 weeks.Should be a good game in the Super Bowl as both Arizona & Pittsburgh will find weaknesses to exploit but will discuss those in my Super Bowl thread in a couple of weeks.

Gravy, you are so smoking hot, I have to wear oven mitts to click on your thread!!!

How's that Polamalu TD to cover for PIT! And the ARI dominance, with the late gm win too! Man, I will be very interested to see your super bowl pick! What a pleasant playoffs for one of the classiest guys left on the RX. Great going Gravy, let's end this season on top!

Wormy,Thxs for the compliments as I have been having a real good NFL playoff run after my lousy bowl season so just making up losses from that and paying my outragous gas bills here in Ohio.Im was getting nervous until Polamalu went to the house but knew it was over after that.I will tell you this that the Super Bowl will be very interesting.Gravy:toast:

Yup, lots of subplots here. I think I've got my winner already, but I'll continue to listen to the talking heads for the next 2 wks before finalizing anything.
