One of you questioned why I bought a 1.5 on UNC Saturday.....it was because I thought UNC should have been at LEAST a 7 point fav and I wanted to get it under 3 with concern. Damn if I found a different way to lose a game.......a holding penalty in the endzone with less than 2 minutes left on a 3rd down incompletion that would have given UNC great field position for a game winning FG.

The result does not change my opinion of UCONN. They are a fraud.....their Offense is horrible and their Defense is good, but I did not really see what I wanted to see from UNC's Yates and the Running backs. Different story with Baylor.

-This is a revenge game for Baylor, who dominated UCONN last year for 3 quarters, only to lose 31-28 in the closing seconds.
-This is Art Briles 2nd year and the team has athletes to run his offense now
-The only bright spot in UCONN's Offense, QB Zach Fraser, is now injured and out for the game.
-Even though I lost my play against UCONN, they now have lost their last 3 at home, proving that they are in a downward trend.
-This is Baylor's home opener, and the crowd will also be ready to cheer on a team that gained a hard fought win on the road against Wake Forest.
-Baylor has had two weeks to prepare to face an Offense that has no weapons now.

All things point to a bigtime Baylor win and a 2-0 start.

Adding one just based on initial capping.....I liked it but was going to wait for team totals to come out. But based on movement and cappers liking it here......I expect it to rise and decided to pull the trigger. Bought points like most of you hate to do.....but I do it so there you have it.

Disagree with the assessment of UCONN. They are a well-coached football team and are turning into a high-quality program. Losing 8 players to the NFL, then being able to play like they have to open the season speaks well of their coaching staff and team discipline. Could have beaten Ohio by 3 TDs and UNC by 2 TDs if they finish in 4th qtr.

Agree. Don't like betting money against Edsall - but I do think this is the best spot to do so. Not really sure what you're going to get with Cody Endres...but he can't be much worse than Frazer. I expect UConn will slow this one down with a heavy dose of Todman and Dixon to try and keep it close. Heat could wear down the Huskies though...not often they play in 85+ temps.

There is a reason they did not finish either game out.......depth, and the lack of an Offense which left hands on hip Defense in the 4th quarter. I did not knock their coaching staff. I said that they are on a downward trend with regards to talent this year and they are. They are going to have problems with an Offense that is high powered.....it will force them to get out of their only gameplan that allows them to have a shot at winning. And Art Briles knows that and is a master at that. What you will get with Endres is worse.......thats why Fraser was the starter. UCONN has made Home a tough place to play......But the fact that in 2 seasons, going into 3 now.......they've lost only 3 games at home.......THE LAST THREE. I'm OK with calling it a rebuilding year if you believe that Edsall is still building special.....saying they were a fraud is too strong of a word if that is the case. But this is a bad spot for them in my opinion.

Over 60.5 yards

Had the right idea.....thought sure Benjamin would have hit this, but Harris did a great job of spreading the football around to many receivers. Safe play would have been the Over 19.5 completions for Harris.......that was my 2nd pick.......REGRET HERE.

The one rule I go by when I ever decide to play a 10 pointer is.......NEVER add a team because of points......Cap the game and play teams that you legitimately think can when the ball game.....as much as I hate Tennessee, I had to stare and +40 for a few seconds. Bu they have no chance to win so that rules them out here.

Tonight I'm playing Over 23 Team Total Fresno.......this team has been very productive on Offense and has racked up the yardage. Plenty of weapons on Offense.....a great punter......and very good return game. the key is play action perfection, and at home I believe they can get it done. Game has a great shot at going Over. The reality is Boise hasn't played anyone with any weapons yet and Fresno is not the team you want to open conference play with on the road. Getting beat by 51 points last year is the type motivation that will help Fresno just as Oregon's golden glove running back motivated Boise's Defense. Fresno may not win but I sense that field position will help them score tonight.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><!-- BREADCRUMBS -->Minnesota's Offense has had one touchdown in seven quarters. They are WAY OVERDUE. Offense looks good......the QB simply has not executed well. Cal lost all the of its best linebackers from last year. Study film and you see a soft underbelly that UM should be able to attack. The success of those passes combined with their running game will determine this play. Because UM has played Air Force, their Rushing Defense looks bad. But make no bones about it.....they've not come close to seeing a Rushing/Passing combo to prepare them for Cal......especially the Passing Game. This is arguably UM's biggest game of the year. Look for them to show up and play wil Cal. To do so, they wil have to end the TD drought.
