Minnesota -124 15 Units...making or breaking my week

Liriano can and will completely shut this anemic offense down. Minnesota hits righties second to Texas in all of MLB. Royals are around the middle of the pack vs Lefties. I don't know why but I got erect when I saw this line...I've never had a feeling like this before about a baseball game. I really, really like it and will be doubling down everything I am up on the week on this one play. If I lose I'll be even (thanks to fading a certain somebody) and if I win I will be in the midst of shoveling dirt onto my bookies grave. It's all or nothing for me tomorrow on this one litttttle game

Royals rocked Liriano earlier this year, but last start he looked like his old self.

Good luck, but Greinke is good too.

Not scared of Greinke only because of what Minny does to righties...they are hovering around .290 ...that is simply unheard of

Greinke pitched well earlier this year vs. the Twins and didn't get the win because Soria wasn't unavailable. To be honest I actually like the Royals in this spot, but I hope the Twins win since your putting alot on them.

Might want to look at the Royals stats vs. lefties their actually pretty good.

KC beat him 5-1 last time they met. I wouldn't put all my profits on this one but BOL

Liriano was nowhere near to ready at the beginning of the season. he is a totally different pitcher now. those stats should be disregarded. i think we are going to see him pitch his team into the playoffs the next month and half of the season. he isn't throwing as hard as he was before his injury, but his slider is still as nasty as anyone and he has been downright dominant the past few months. the way KC struggles offensivly at times leads me to believe they will have a tough time. i will be on Minnesota rather large myself. the only thing that bothers me is i was expecting slightly higher of a number

I know Lirianos stats too...Im going off his recent play...hes ready to roll...all a good pitcher needs is a little bit of confidence and a little bit of offense to back him...ill take 290 vs righties as a little bit of offense

Have not seen liriano pitch as of late but your confidence in him makes me wonder about my lean. All i can say is BOL to the both of you :toast:- not sure if I am going to play this one yet.

Twins are 3-8 in their last 11 games vs. a right handed starter. While the Royals are 4-0 their last 4 games vs. a left-handed starter and 8-2 in Greinke's last 10 home starts.

One good stat in your favor is Royals are 0-5 in Greinke's last 5 starts vs. Twins, but Greinke is a better pitcher this year too.

Also Mauer is 3-19 and Morneau 4-21 in their career vs. Greinke with only 3 RBI combined.

I hope the Twins win, but I don't see this as an easy win.

Grienke has been great his last two starts and has been good at home all year. I wouldn't go against Grienke in this spot but that's just me.

Is this play more a gut feeling? or just number crunching and odds making?
I tend not to describe my picks as game of the "so and so" as not to attract negative feedback or the I "told you so" replies. Definite lean to the Twins more because of lineups rather than pitching matchup. The points Cover brings up w/ Grienke implies the under may come in on this one also.
