Don't look yet, but this team has a legitimate shot at taking San Diego out of the playoffs and they are believing they can do it. They are 6 games out of 1st right now -BUT- they have 5 more games remaining with the San Diego Padres, with the last three coming at the end of the season. They get to play 3 games in Colorado where they have had good success and they have gained a little confidence with Barry Bonds back in the lineup. . . . Who hit the ball extremely well yesterday!

Tonight they are sending Nate Lowry to the mound who was 6-0 with a 1.19 ERA before losing his last start to the Cubs.

He will be facing off against Lawrance who is 7-14, 4.74 ERA this season with a poor road record.

I've been betting against Lawrence for his last 3 games. He won last game and Lowry lost his last game but I still think this is a good bet. I think Lowry will bounce back as he's a much better pitcher lately than Lawrence.
