Whether you are down 6 grand or up 6 grand, never go all up or down, play 1 to 3 games and use money mangement.gambling is a every day thing and the only way to stay ahead of the game is this imo.sure if you go all in it may work today, but if you do this all the year your bookie will be the one driving the new BMW and having the good looking whores on his arm.gl today...ck

I agree with what others have said, especially that you would be almost even for the month after a bad week that takes all your profits for the month. It sucks, but either play 1 main pick for $1K or 3 solid picks for $500 each (to hope for 2-1 day) and/or play several action picks (5-10) for $100 each. That way, the $100 bets doesn't impact the $6K lost this past week all that much, even if you go 2-8 today.

Anyway, I replied because I was puzzled on why Baltimore is -150? Baltimore was around +125?

I thought all bookies charged -20 to beat an underdog?? I know you get better odds online but you have to play your own money. I know you have to pay a little more with a bookie but I like using his money. Sucks when you have to pay on Tuesday...

JMO if you are new to gambling you should play smaller amounts until you get the feel of things. I also have a limit per week that I'm willing to lose. If I get to that limit I quit for that week by using discipline. Looks like you're doing like my avatar "chasing money" .

Not uncommon for bookies to value dogs at 20 cents in the other directions. For example, if CWS -140 you would get the dog for +120.

My former bookie and current do this but knock it down 40 cents for favs or 200 and 30 cents above 300.

So fav of -240 would pay +200 on the dog
Fav of -330 would pay +300 on the dog

Overall you lose 5-10 cents per bet but it is nice to have an out if you don't have computer access. I only use when a computer is not practical or lines are not offered on my book when I leave the house in the mornings.
