what are the odds? with the Bucks not really having a go to guy, Jabari Parkers will be touching the ball a lot, his numbers will be good

Don't like it. Payton has potential but he's raw. Turns the ball over far too much to see significant minutes in year 1, although the Oladipo injury could get him some time early.

It's going to be nearly impossible to beat Parker unless he gets hurt. Guy will put up 18 points a game without too much effort.

I like Randle a lot. Was a great pick for the Lakers. He seems safe at 14 points 8 boards or so in year 1. Have lots of faith in him being an above average player but Parker's points will be enough for a lot of voters IMO.

Does Nerlens Noel qualify for the award since he didn't play last year?

KJ McDaniels could be an ice value bet. Someone has to score for that team. MCW out for a bit. Young gone to Minnesota. He'll get shots at least.

If Noel qualifies I'll take him over Parker. Guy is going to put up 18/10 if he stays healthy. Should be favored over Parker.

Dude.there is no chance Noel scores 20 a game.
He weighs like 80 lbs. Only way he can score is on a put back dunk.
Kid will get pushed around.

I edited original post slightly right after sending it but you quoted me too quick haha. No one on Philly can shoot and Noel can rebound. He's going to have a million put back opportunities. Plus he runs the fast break which is how the 76ers are going to get a ton of their points. Team is sloppy and he's the best bet to score easy points IMO.

I can't see him getting 18 a game - I think I have more talent offensively than him - he's gonna be effective defensively that's for sure - he's only points are coming off dunks and transition - he is a deer in the open court

You guys might be right. Looking back Dwight Howard only put up 12/10 his first year with a similar set. I think Noel is in a better spot though, more well rounded, with rules helping offenses and the 76ers figuring to need to score a ton to keep up.

i watched Noel a few times this preseason. He is very very weak, looks like he is skin and bones. He will get pushed off the block all day long, he does not have an offensive game, he is going to score on put backs or lobs, thats it. He will belucky to average 12ppg. Philly wants him to block shots and rebound, scoring will come later

Noel is eligible fwiw

Stauskas quote about preseason and guys attacking him cause he is white was great

really don't see a ton of value there...Wiggins was 4-1 before and that was OK to me. He should get tons of mins

Noel has very little offensive game. He is a defensive force. I can't imagine him scoring more then 12 points a game starting for a good team.

That being said the Sixers are going to be terrible. Even the worst team in the league is still going to put up 80pts a game. So those points are going to have to come from somewhere, maybe Noels stats get inflated from being on such a horrible team. More then likely it will be Henry Sims putting up 18/10.

agree on the Sims point. the sixers, last season anyway, pushed the ball they would lose games like 114-105. Not bad to watch anyway. Sims is a steal, he could be a role player on any team in the league, does all the dirty work.

That's pretty much what I'm banking on. I don't expect Noel to develop a midrange jumper at all. He's an excellent rebounder on a team full of guys who will miss lots of shots. Just on putbacks alone I think he can get to around 12. Anything else is just gravy.
