Peavy gave up seven runs on seven hits, suffering his first defeat in seven starts with the White Sox. One bright spot, according to Peavy, was how changes made in his mechanics between his last start and this start resulted in a rise in velocity and the best stuff he has felt he possessed all season. He simply needs to harness that stuff within the zone. Peavy has never faced the Rangers.
