Anyone want one, here's how to buy one:

http://code.google.com/android/dev-devices.html

The Android Dev Phone 1 is a SIM-unlocked and hardware-unlocked device...

The Android Dev Phone 1 should also appeal to <strike>developers</strike> who live outside of T-Mobile geographies.

The device currently costs $399 (USD) (including free shipping in the US)

Same as the G1, which is, by the way, an HTC Dream.

Not sure which is better, an HTC Dream running Google Android, or an HTC Diamond running Windows Mobile 6.1.

iPhone and now G1 have been getting all the buzz, and Windows Mobile devices none.

Windows Mobile is cool as I could develop applications in C#/Visual Studio I believe; but Microsoft has not yet released Skymarket, their answer to Apple's App Store and Google Android Market.

I'd probably buy an HTC Diamond with intent to write my own apps. If I didn't write apps I'd probably get a G1 as their ought to be more applications available on the Android Market.

One problem with the G1 is really bad battery life.

I'll tell you one thing I won't touch -- an iPhone. Bad signal quality due to defective GSM chipset, and no background applications.

iphones are a piece of shit, and spending $915 on a cell phone is absurd.
