Good places to stay in Vegas...for a few weeks?

Want to stay in vegas for a few weeks but don't want to spend a ton on hotels. Any ideas of places that are close to the strip (can take a bus easily if need be) and run about $200-$250 for a week?

Budget suites are ok, but you will need a car. There are a few extended stay type hotels but none of them are near the Strip, a few blocks off so you will need some transportation. These are the Candlewood Suites types. You'll pay around $200 a week most likely.
