We can argue about Phil Steele's opinions on teams, but you can't argue with the fact that the man does his homework and has a plethora of info that is not readily available on other sites this time of the year.

Be sure to check out that "Spring Guide" he has on his site. I downloaded it onto my computer so I would have it to look at for reference from time to time.

If somebody has already posted this link, I apologize ahead of time. You might want to use this thread through the Summer to post anymore links that might be useful.

Here's another one with some pretty good info on it for Summer research . . . . .

http://nationalchamps.net/

They had charged for this in the past and I have purchased it 3 years in a row. This year they are offering it for free, but you have to wade through a bunch of advertising. I would prefer to buy a subscription myself, lol . . . .

For you past performance statistic hounds, this is the site for you. Also, before you go out and start buying those preseason magazines, you might want to take a look at the past accuracy of them all. You can find that on this site as well.

Here is a link to Keepers College Football Ratings. You can find some good info in this site. If your a numbers type of capper he'll give you the average yardage lost by team from roster departures etc. Going by these numbers he even has what he thinks will be the most improved teams. I like to glance at this site through the season and see how he stacks up against the Sagarin Ratings. Many times Keepers is the more accurate.

He also has some good links on his site. One of those sites has just about every power ranking used in the nation during college football and will even track how they are doing through the season.
