I thought this info might be helpful... "they" say never play teasers in college football.. only in the NFL and only under these situations:

Taking favorites of -7.5 down to -1.5
Taking favorites of -8 down to -2
Taking favorites of -8.5 down to -2.5
Taking underdogs of plus 1.5 up to plus 7.5
Taking underdogs of plus 2 up to plus 8
Taking underdogs of plus 2.5 up to plus 8.5

hope this helps boyzzzz..

Yep good advice.

Keep the number on one side (fav or dog) -1 and not +1, so you don't get juiced up the ass (opening line -7, tease to -2 or -1.5 and not +1). You lose too much value once you start turning favs into dogs.

I've seen some private analytical work by some really smart folks on teasing across 0 and how profitable it actually is....taking -3 to +4, etc.

How about Seahawks this week? At -13 so crossing the 10 and 7 are key numbers? 6.5 point teaser.

There was a guy here who guaranteed he would turn a profit entire NCAA fb season playing 13pt teasers. He tapped out and stopped posting them by mid season.

I realize the -13 and -14's look so enticing to tease down but taking +20 pts in an NFL game is a boatload. You have the opportunity for a backdoor as well if down 24-27 when the favorite is playing prevent D

3Point, thanks for your posts here regarding teasers.
Completely agree that the data suggests they should only be used in NFL and not CFB.

To summarize your first post of this thread, I believe the following has been shown to be the most profitable:
Use these in 6 point NFL teasers:
Home favorites of -7.5 to -8.5 (tease down)
Road dogs of 1.5 to 2.5 (tease up)

And yes, it is derived from the old Wong teasers also called Basic Strategy teasers.

DO NOT tease away favorites down ... historically there is a big diff b/w home fav and away fav teasers

AF -8.5 = 74.2%
AF -8 = 66.7%
AF -7.5 = 65.4%
_______________
HF -8.5 = 77.3%
HF -8 = 79.1%
HF -7.5 = 74.7%
.

on the dog side not as big of a disparity b/w home and away but still a stronger play to just stick with home teams

AD 1.5 = 72.0%
AD 2 = 72.3%
AD 2.5 = 72.8%
_______________
HD 1.5 = 77.6%
HD 2 = 72.0%
HD 2.5 = 77.25

your goal here is to stick in those 75% parameters which is home dogs 1.5-2.5, home favs 7.5-8.5 but whatever you do just avoid the big away favs from a systems perspective.
