The mad hatter hasn't given up yet.

These boys will take down undefeated Mississippi. All will be well in Baton Rouge.

Sounds good until that ball is kicked. Don't see it happening unless LSU is +2 or +3 in turnovers. They won't be able to out-athlete Ole Miss like Kentucky.

I like LSU's chances today.

The campus is charged up and the fans will be into the game like no other this season. And, since Ole Miss is relevant for the first time since Kennedy was President.....they will get LSU's full attention. Let's be honest, LSU has historically (within the last 40 years) overlooked Ole Miss and it has led to some upsets....but this year, the Tigers are pumped up for the game.

I played Ole Miss, but it wouldn't surprise me to see LSU win. I don't see how you could go big on this game one way or the other though.

Exactly. The only way you make your largest wager of the year on this game is if you're simply a stomped-down fan.

If Alabama was playing LSU today, Bama would be at least an 8 point favorite. I point that out just because I think there are some "free" points left on the table just because people aren't respecting Ole Miss (which is why they've covered their last 8 games).

For Lsu to win, I think they are going to have to get points from defense or special teams. And Bo hasn't turned it over in an SEC game this year and our special teams coverage has been great (outstanding punter).

Yep. I have them as a 9 point fave.

Hilarious coming from the guy who still can't tell my what it is about LSU's offense that says they can score here. Also coming from the same guy that says Ole Miss is "lucky" while creating turnovers.

And what is a "stomped down fan"? What does that even mean?

Respectfully disagree with you ole Pete. Maybe my Tigers come out and surprise me, but the team I've watched this year looks like it's going to have trouble moving the ball consistently. I'm not as optimistic as you, and while some will say that makes me a bad "fan", I say I'm just a level headed individual. LSU is getting a lot of respect here for being Saturday night in Death Valley, but the team just doesnt match that hype. My money is on Ole Miss, and I feel pretty good about the bet.

Unfortunatetly, the "campus" and the fans ill not be on the field to play the game. Way too much D for Ole Miss...............but anything can happen. I think Ole Miss ins by a TD or so. GL.

I've told you what it is that makes me select LSU today.....you just don't want to hear it.

Good luck with your largest wager of the year.

I'm not about to bet against LSU at home. Too much voodoo goes on down there. Ole Miss will be cursed. The pin cushion dolls will be in full use tonight.

No, you haven't. is it because you expect the fans to be pumped up, or the players? If it's the fans, it doesn't matter. If it's the players, are you assuming Ole Miss players won't be pumped up?

I mean.....give me something from a schematic standpoint that leads you to believe LSU is the play here. Just one thing. Tell me how they score?

Again, Im certainly not saying LSU can't win this game. Any home team in this conference(except Vandy), can beat just about anyone else on any given day. But I don't think there is any doubt which will be the better football team on the field tonight.

I have a feeling that we will be pointing to a decision(s) one of these coaches made during the game that completely changed the outcome….and most likely it will be a very dumb decision. Like Hugh Freeze calling a WR pass that gets picked-off in the redzone on 1st down while trailing by 3 with 8 minutes left in the game.

Both these coaches are great in so many ways but they have the same weakness….in-game decision making. In Blackjack terms, I think we will see something similar to this today:
