Nine-year-old Tyshawn Lee was tragically shot and killed in Chicago on Monday. On Thursday, the Chicago Police Department added horror to the heartbreak saying the fourth-grader was intentionally lured into a back alley and shot multiple times as a part of a gang-related dispute to which Lee’s father, Pierre Stokes, reportedly has ties. The city's Police Superintendent called the murder "probably the most abhorrent, cowardly, unfathomable crime" he had ever seen on the job. The details of the crime certainly give weight to that assessment.

“Law enforcement sources have told the Tribune that the bloody conflict involves rival factions of two of Chicago's oldest gangs — the Gangster Disciples and the Black P Stones,” according to the Tribune. “Police believe the Terror Dome faction of the Black P Stones targeted Stokes' son because his father, a convicted felon, reputedly belongs to the Gangster Disciples' Killa Ward faction.” Stokes denies he’s in a gang. Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said he believed Stokes might know who his son's killer is, but has refused to cooperate with police.

How many times? How many talk shows picked it up as well? Did Sharpton/Jackson/Obama make any statements? Any tweets? Any #BlackLivesMatter hashtags going around about it?
I must have missed it in the short 30 second clip it was on CNN..... But CNN is going balls out on this guy shot by a white police officer, and same with MSNBC... seems non stop coverage and guest panelists are getting lined up as we speaks.
When is the 9yo shot multiple times gonna get all those that this adult is getting?
How is that drug using, knife waving, confronting police POS life more important to the media/BlackLiveMatter/Bleeding Heart Crowd... than a 9yo child?
That happened over 3 weeks ago and it was National News, very much so. Its tapered off now because his mother used funds raised by the gofundme account to buy a car and also enjoy a nice trip to Vegas so the media feels that reporting on it more will open that can of worms...the question of why so often within minutes of tragedy befalling blacks gofundme accounts get opened then the funds donated to those get used for things other than what was declared as the reasons why the donations were being asked for.
Plus what is left to say? About it? Three weeks later? His dad had ties to the gang, wronged them so they came and killed the kid. The dad refuses to cooperate in helping to bring those responsible to justice, he and the child's Mom pocketed some cash...theres not much left for the media to report on...in regards to this.

and they only brought charges recently even though it happened like 12 months ago?

chances this cop has gotten away with tons of shit in the past that has been covered up or not pursued i would put at around -1200
"In the video, McDonald can been seen walking down the middle of a thoroughfare. He appears to be walking away from police when he's first struck. About two seconds after he falls and is lying on his side, two puffs of smoke can be seen. Prosecutors said the puffs of smoke were clouds of debris caused by fired bullets. The last visible shot was fired about 13 seconds later and his body has jerked and his arms have moved slightly, while he lays on the ground. At that point, an unidentified officer, who prosecutor's identified as Van Dyke's partner, approaches McDonald and kicks a small knife the teen is holding in his hand.
Alvarez said she made her decision weeks ago to charge Van Dyke, but had delayed announcing while federal authorities completed their parallel investigation of the incident.But after a judge ordered the release of the dashcam video by Wednesday, Alvarez said it was necessary to move up her office's timeline even as her federal counterparts continue to their investigation.
"I felt compelled in the interest of public safety to announce these state charges today, " Alvarez said."
