I challenge anyone to find any other time in the history of team sports where any team was -300 or more before the season started.
I bet this the first time in history that any team was that big of a fav in any sport to win it all.
Has even the UCONN women's basketball team been that much chalk before a season started?
Is this a serious question?
Bayern Munchen have won the Bundesliga five years in a row. They are currently -600 to make it six.
Last year, Paris Saint-Germain were -900 favorites to win Ligue 1 for a fifth straight time, but Monaco pulled the upset.
Surprisingly, Juventus are only -170 to make it seven straight Serie A titles in a row.
Happens all the time in European football.
What I find interesting is that ESPN and TNT way overpaid for NBA TV rights. And the league agreement requires that 51% of revenue be spent on players. So, you have all these teams throwing around money on players that just aren't that good.
What's going to happen when ESPN can't afford to re-up the TV contract at a higher price, and there isn't the revenue to pay the players what they have become accustomed to? A strike or a lockout?

When you have one team that has almost a 70% chance of winning it all that's not good for the league.
There is no way the NBA would agree to have it's biggest games of the week shown online, versus network or cable television.
Spurs still better than the Rockets or Thunder. You can't tell me there isn't value in Cleveland. West got stronger. Boston still will lose to Lebron again. And who knows what they do for trades because you know they are going to try to be aggressive. Okc, houston both can give golden st a run for their money. I give okc a lean over houston just because okc will play for blood to win that shit vs golden st.
All it takes is one injury to one of the big four and they are still good but not great. Laying -300 is insane to me. Hell you may be able to get -300 if they play Cleveland again in the finals.
