Golden Nugget GOY's Out Tomorrow

The Golden Nugget will post their 2015 "Games of the Year" odds tomorrow (Friday) at 1:30 PDT. It looks like there will be around 165 games to choose from, including just about every weeknight game. Last season the Nugget lost money overall on their 200 game spread last season. They blamed the loss on TCU's resurgence. To be honest, I did not wager for or against any TCU game last season, nor do I know of anyone who did. I think that lowering the number of games from 200 to about 165 speaks volumes. Remember that just about every Weeknight game will have a line, so you are looking at eliminating a bunch of Saturday games.

What I did was join other cappers and put a number on just about every FBS game to be played. When the line is posted, we then will know what games we want to wager on and what games we do not want. We look for the lines to be a lot "tighter" this season than they have been in the past because last season was not the first time that the Nugget lost money playing this game. Look for a lot of games in the 4 1/2-5 1/2 point range, meaning that they are hoping for 50/50 wagering so they can make their vig.

All that means is that you picked a lot of losers. Unless you were at the Belmont and wagered two bucks to win on Pharoah, people do not save winning tickets. They cash them. Just a thought. We can discuss what the Nugget puts out tomorrow on Saturday, if I am back by then. To be honest, I think they are going to try and cut back. They lost too much last year and in previous years.
