Folks, on Saturday, I will be driving to Boston seeing it's only a 4.5 hr drive from here and will be attending Game 4 of the Yankees/Redsox game at Fenway..

Now my question is boys.. I am hoping that there are posters here who know a bit about obtaining Red Sox tickets at Fenway Park. Now I am assuming seeing this is probably the hottest ticket in sports (even for a regular season game) as this is one of the best rivalries and both teams hate each other, that 2 tickets will be very expensive..

So what am I looking at here boys? First of all, what price do you assume I will be able to get these tickets off scalpers? I am hoping for 800 the pair.. Just tell me boys, am i dreaming in technicolor, or can this be done.. I don't care where I sit..I'll even sit by the right field foul pole, but not bleachers..I just wanna be there..

What am I looking at boys. Can I achieve this price of 800 the pair..

And I wonder if Beantown will come and meet the sick one.. I doubt he will meet me. I know the kid fears me and always has..and thinks I'm gonna kick his ass, ever since he stiffed me out of my Peter Gammons bet, so I doubt he will want to sit with the sick one over a nice lobster dinner.. We'll see if he will meet me or not..

Will Beantown come and have dinner with me..

NO -380
YES +320

Thanks for the feedback boys..

Check on eBay to give you an idea. Right now it looks like about $1000-2000 a pair.

Fair,

Thanks for the quick response.. I didn't think it would be 1,000-2,000.. I did what you said and looked at Ebay, and did see a pair for 300 bucks, and they are at the right field foul pole too.. But the only thing is it says still 16 hrs to bid, meaning I guess it could end up at 1000, right?

So boys, is there no chance I can get a pair for under 1 dime? What I really wanted to do was go to Wrigley, it's been my dream since age 6 to go there.. I am sure the tickets wouldn't have been as much, but two small problems. It's 13 hrs by car, (but I could fly) and they don't play on weekends there ever, just weekdays. I can only go on weekend..

Does anyone know how or where or IF i can get tickets for Game 4 at Fenway for 1 dime, or less. Thanks..

They are kind of expensive right now Sick, I can get you in the Baby Blue section for 1200 ea, I think you should wait until the Yanks go up 2-0 and the prices will come down for us a little.

Sick- Might be able to set you up. You will picking up the tickets at the Boston Beer Works across the street from Fenway. The chances are 20-80 that I can pull this off for you....maybe less considering the magnitude of these games. Making calls now.

Skip Fenway.

Have Beantown take you to Legals Seafood and then go to the irish social club. Watch the first inning and then maybe bet the game.

Gotta meet Johnny Knockdown, and the rest of organized crime in Boston.

np fish, i will manage for sure and get something there. Will my odds be better if I am there at the game wheeling and dealing with the scalpers. I have a big mouth and I consider myself a great salesman who is not shy to bargain.

Will this help me obtain a good price on tickets, or should i get them before the game, like on Ebay. I still think if i am there 2 hrs before the game, i can pull it off. Am i dreaming? thanks

Forget dinner, all you'll need is a broom & some kleenex for Mr. Beanietown. Good think you didnt' get game 5 tickets ... or you'd have to beg that scalper for a refund

Not that I believe you're really going, but the cheapest way to go is to wait as close as possible to gametime. The prices really drop in the last 10-15 minutes.

I have been to some huge sporting events (including 20+ Kentucky Derbys) and rarely have tickets in advance. Experience shows I can get better seats at a lower price than I ever could have by buying in advance.

Many, many times I have gotten great seats at less than face value. Look for an individual with extra tickets rather than a scalper. I have even had tickets given to me by individuals with extras. Somebody always has more tickets than they need. An out of town guest can't make it, somebody is ill, somebody has to work at the last minute, there's always something!

Best of luck and hope you enjoy the attention.

Vinny,

Thanks for that great advice.. But WTF kinda post was that man!!

If your buddy Beantown didn't fear me so much, he can come see me at Fenway when I walk through the turnstiles.. I am there kiddo. I will even be posting a bit from some internet cafe from Boston, so you can check IP.. You think I have time for fun and games.. If anyone is from Boston and want to come and witness it, I will be in front of Fenway on Sunday night from 4 pm on.. running around talking to every guy with tickets in his hands..

Vinny, I swear to GOD, I will be there.. You can take that to the bank. It's only a 4.5 hr drive from here. I don't have time for fun and games.. I would have gone to the Saturday afternoon game, but I saw the rotation and when I saw Pedro vs The Rocket, I decided that Sunday would be a lot easier with Burkett going against Boomer..

Hey vinny, don't doubt sick gambler, he will be there as much as the sun will come out tomorrow.. But I really did like your advice you gave me in your post. True, who knows, maybe i can get lucky.. Thanks kid..

No way I would ever go to Boston without meeting my buddy beantownjim at The Irish Social Club for a few brewskies. If Peter Gammons and Johnny Knockdown could join us, would be just that much better.

Enjoy the game! Hope you get some great seats!!
