Are you by chance someone that is near and dear to the IU program with the same name and number from the past?

I'm not sure what you mean, not a former player or anything. I'm a student at IU, senior in the business school. How's the locals in bloomington? Haven't been able to get in anywhere.

Who is that former Hoosier? I could only think of Mike Lewis #24? Can't think of the Matt off hand. Email is coming. Got your email if you want to edit it out of your post. Thanks

OHIO ST +1.5

Once again, my Iowa fade continues. It hasn't been profitable though as I'm 1-1-1 with my 1 loss being bigger than the win. The push was a complete screwjob at the end, should have had that W. I stayed off of Michigan this week, I was needing 6 and it hung around 4.5/5, good thing because they lost by 8. Need I say again, Iowa only has 7 scholarship players right now and the 2 off the bench rarily play. The 5 starters play almost the whole game, and I swear one game they are going to get into some foul trouble and be completely screwed. Ohio St has a good inside game that can pound it inside and draw fouls. I was shocked that OSU got drilled @ Wisconsin because I thought they were finally starting to mesh. This is a team with 7 new players from last year, as they have a couple backcourt transfers and a Dials is back from a medical redshirt. So all along, this was a team that should be stronger at the end of the season. Iowa does need this game to maintain any hope of going to the NCAAs, but Brody and Horner will have to be hot to get that done. The 7'0 footer Radinovic will have a 5 inch height advantage on Greg Brunner or Glen Worley, he should have a big night.

4 Starters for Iowa played at least 37 minutes last time out, and Brunner played 28 before fouling out and giving away to the 6'10 toothpick in Hansen. OSU frontcourt should dominate this game. Hope for a tightly called game.

ILLINOIS -4

Illinois is coming on strong and has a good shot at winning the Big 10. They have to have this win though. Illinois has struggled at times under new coach, Bruce Weber, but things appear to be turning around. They drilled Michigan St at home and Wisconsin hasnt been all that special away from home. They lost to Purdue(though they could have won with a last second shot) but got beat by 18 by Northwestern on the road. Definately a small number in this situation.

Matt - I'm from Minnesota and follow the Gophers closely. I would not be surprised if this team, once they get behind, throws in the towel. There is something that is not right with this team. I remember you saying that the IU players did not care for Humphries on his visit, so I would expect a fired up Hoosier team tomorrow night.

Yeah it looks like the Minnesota players might not like Humphries to much either. Hargrow's transfer was because of Humphries pretty much from what I understand. Bauer has really fallen off lately, I thought he was going to be a star, he should have never cut his hair either.

IU should be fired up, both games this week are complete must wins, but both are poor matchups as well, as both Minnesota and Ohio St are stronger on the inside where IU is a complete joke, even moreso now that Kline is out for the season. I don't think Indiana is capable of really blowing anyone out, they did win at Penn St by 19, but they were very hot to start out and Wright was unconscious throughout. Minnesota plays horrid defense though which does play in IU's favor though.

Matt24: Would it be a good idea to take Iowa in the 1st H, and OSU for the game, thinking that Iowa slows down in the 2nd like Niagara did on Monday @ FF?

If you were going to take Iowa in the first half, I wouldnt play Ohio St for the game. I would wait til the half and hope Iowa has a lead, and then you can get a better # on Ohio St. But if you play Iowa first half and Ohio St for the game, I think that might create an opportunity to go 0-2. So I would just play OSU for the whole game. Going with Iowa for the first half might not be a bad idea, but I'd probably stay away.

Wake Forest has now hit 3 at Pinnacle. I'm greedy and am now holding out for 3.5.

Yep at pinnacle last I looked Wake was +3 +102, so I anticipate the move to 3.5 soon. Maybe I should hold out for 4?
