I love my team but my God that song is horrific. I can't imagine a more homosexual theme song.

I miss watching the cubs on WGN and the braves on TBS (and we can throw in the mets on WOR for old times sake)

They play it through the loudspeakers after ever home win.

After game 6 NLCS there was just a parade of cars in Wrigleyville bumping it with windows open. People singing it over and over again in bars. It was horrible.

It needs to go.

Yeah I know it's been around forever. It's just that we used to only have to listen to it like a dozen times a year, not 50 or 60.

Honestly I can see it contributing to hatred for the Cubs. It's so cheesy.

I never had a problem with the song, remember when it came out. Steve Goodman had a very accomplished career as a songwriter. He wrote and recorded this right before he died in '84.

I've lived in Houston since 1966 and I've never heard that song before, so that shows how much it's played. I've never even heard it played at a game.

Regarding the Cubs song, I thought it was going to be that Cubbie Chubbie, or whatever it's called.

Atlanta wasn't even smart enough to come up with a song, they just ripped off the Tomahawk Chop from Florida State. They look like a bunch of morons in Atlanta when they do that. That's college stuff.
