POZNAN, Poland - The UN global warming conference currently underway in Poland is about to face a serious challenge from over 650 dissenting scientists from around the globe who are criticizing the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore. Set for release this week, a newly updated U.S. Senate Minority Report features the dissenting voices of over 650 international scientists, many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN. The report has added about 250 scientists (and growing) in 2008 to the over 400 scientists who spoke out in 2007. The over 650 dissenting scientists are more than 12 times the number of UN scientists (52) who authored the media hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers. looks like the debate may really be over, just not in the same sense Al Gorebull intended.

why does it always have to be fully one way or the other

i personally believe man plays a role but the percentage we play vs. natural fluctuations of mother nature is pretty small in my estimation

we'll see if the sun goes into a deep sleep here still very inactive on the sunspot front although its starting to show signs that its solar minimum is beginning to end

so far seems like we in for another brutal winter as far as my neck of the woods go

I got a page with over 600 signatures from Professionals from the dentist, medical fields as well as a environmentalists as well asa Nobel peace prize who all say fluoridation of the public water supply is unneeded and an infringement of your right to choose (hence why i buy Deer Park). Does this mean the debate is closed here to? If so, get it the fuck out of my tap water.

Fletch, I'm mocking Al Gorebull. He's the one on record as saying "the debate is over", although he refuses to debate anyone.

Not bringing your "A" game today, eh?

I know, im just trying to hijack this thread into a rant about fluoridation. Guilty as charged. :ohno:

Hey, i didnt catch you in the national debt thread? I figure MJ could use the help. You let the Neocons down. Oh, and by the way....notice how none of the libs will get into national debt debates, when Obama is going to have a trillion dollar budget deficit this year?

:lolBIG:

There i go again...planting seeds. Lets see if i can pull this bitch around to something i want to tlak about in a thread that has nothing to with it.

PS -

FUCK AL GORE.

Not all water Tiz, that is why many places add it to the water. Fluoride is a poison, you are a chemist you know this. I understand is some parts per million and yada yada yada...but still, it is what it is. And the long term drinkability and viability are unknown. Not something i want to play with.

breathing causes cancer watch out

just saying alot of other shit to worry about

smoking or drinking or consuming lots of processed foods with high fructose corn syrup or drinking lots of coke or eating lots of cheese or eating lots of doritos

much worse than a few ppm of flouride being shot into the water supply

that said i don't drink much tap either but my reasoning doesn't have much to do with the flouride itself :)

I'm not making a judgment on who is right, but arguments like this hurt instead of help the credibility of the sceptics. Obviously you cannot compare the number of dissenters to the number of authors of the IPCC Summary. I'm pretty certain the number of scientists who agree with that report is a little higher than 52.

global warming just a side show distraction to keep the debate going about this issue rather than focusing on the real issue at hand

plus it creates lots of jobs and such and reason for government to spend lotso money

both sides are right to some extent although i side more with mother nature than man's impact

man likely doesn't help it and mother nature goes through its ebbs and flows over the course of history

the real issue of concern is all the pollution and the long term footprint we are leaving on earth since the age of industrialization as far as its impact on human health, potable water supply, food supply, and impact on other species that mother nature put there for a reason

plus the whole problem is when you clamp down on emissions in the US where regulations are already tight and better than most countries now it makes shit really hard and expensive to produce and comply with

which is also giving more incentive for companies to ship manufacturing jobs outta the US which the unions and democrats bitch about

all companies are gonna do is move to china or taiwan or cambodia and use lots of coal and pollute lots of rivers

its called "global" for a reason

(H/T: Miami Press and Tom Nelson). Get ready Southern California. A 50-year weather event is headed your way. After a mild November, resort-level snow is likely next week. From the article:
“We are in a pre-1950 type pattern, “said Martin. “We know we are due for a winter storm sometime this year. The type we may be dealing with will be ranked up there with the known years before 1950, which set record low daytime temperatures into the forecast region. With this, may come low elevation snow.”

Don't be fooled. Al Gore, David Rockefeller, and everyone else pushing the global warming scam doesn't believe the bullshit they spew. They know it's a fraud, and they know it's about getting a global carbon tax to micromanage literally every facet of your life.

I totally agree, lots of other shit to worry about, so dont put shit in my water because i brush my teeth and go to the dentist every 6 months and im fine. Drinking water is something people should never worry about, leave it the way it is. Other then making it safe to drink, dont fuck with it. I mean how many people die of tooth decay? None. Why is the sate so worried about protecting teeth anyway?

You know how many people die from Osteoporosis induced injuries every year? Like 250K In fact by 2020, One In Two Americans Over Age 50 Will Be At Risk For Fractures From Osteoporosis Or Low Bone Mass.

So, why not dump a shitload of calcium or Vitamin D in our water? Surely, it would help more people and more importantly effect more people then just giving them healthier teeth. The point is, its water. H20. Keep it real.

How exactly would Gore and Rockefeller profit from a global carbon tax and how would this tax lead to a micromanagment of every facet of life?

Can you drill a well? I use wells and haven't paid for water in years.
