A Sticking Point in Glenn Beck’s Negotiations With CNN

Bill Carter reports that “a sticking point in the talks with Mr. Beck to renew his contract was a plan by Headline News to drop the repeat of Mr. Beck’s show at 9 p.m.”
Instead the channel planned to insert a repeat of Lou Dobbs’s 6 p.m. CNN show in that 9 p.m. slot, said a CNN executive who asked not to be identified because the negotiation was private.
maybe you should check your facts before you post inaccurate information. i'll just add you to the ever growing list of dumicrats on the rx with damaged credibility. ^^

I used to watch Beck a bit when he was on CNN. I've seen him maybe 4-5 times since he switched to Fox. I actually find him to be one of the wittier talking heads (his radio show is better). He also has had a pretty troubled past, so the odd bit of self depreciating humor goes a long way in his appeal. Now I pretty much just catch bits and pieces of him on youtube.
Beck made some comment about Katrina victims being scum (I think), and he was a dick to a muslim politician when he tried to be funny and said something like "how can I trust you?" and inferring the guy was sympathetic to terrorists. Beyond those two examples, I wouldn't say he's a blatent racist.
Anyone familiar with the old Art Bell late night conspiracy fest (coast2coast) will remember a guy named Gary North. Gary was a Y2K freakout conspiracy nut and Beck is starting to remind me more and more of him now with everything being a worst case scenario.
Most likely it's just that Beck is now part of the "we're in end of times" crowd, so if thats the case, then even a heavy rain is a sign of the impending rapture.
Hats off to him though. He's found a niche in the very crowded right wing AM/TV market and wedged himself in.
