I'm not letting this shit consume anymore of my weekends, and I'm definitely not watching my teams implode in every f'ing game. Missed FG's, missed extra points, turnovers, stupid penalties, bad officiating, etc, etc. Seems to be my team every game. Tired of it. Good luck to you guys the rest of the year.

Sorry to hear that, man. That Baltimore game did end on a sour note.

Seems like almost every game has some bullshit or the other going on in it. Today has been one extremely frustrating day to say the least.

i quit over a year ago and think it was a great decision. just not worth all the headaches and regardless of what people say and all the supposed millionaires on here, gambling is a long term losers game.

the only thing i do now is a couple cbs fantasy footbal leagues and im satisfied with that.

Lot of these lately, would be interesting if a mod merged all the "I give up" threads.

Funny but seems to me the books are taking it in the ass today.

Crappy teams spewing the same shit game after game.

I heard that. It's become comical how many games hinge on a turnover, a bad call, a dropped ball, a missed FG, etc. I'm tired of it. I'll be spending my weekends in a totally different manner. I have done this (gambled) for the last 12 years, so it will be hard. It has finally come to a head.

12 years? then you might be back like they said because its burnt into your head. my gambling was basically college basketball and only did it for a season a and a half so it was easier for me.

when it gets stressful and your constantly thinking about it, then you got a problem. i think half of the people on this forum have that problem. will gamble on anything, need the fix, an addict. guys like miamiboy86 or miamidude who says he's gone then comes back every week. thats an addict who needs help.

you probably are an addict based on not going without it for 12 years, but who knows. maybe you won't play again, maybe you'll be drawn back.

my primary posting now is in the political forum and just chat on here. im proud of myself for getting beyond gambling and moving it out of my life because it was just a unnecessary headache in the grand scheme of things.

This is gambling.

I got crushed last weekend 1-8. Lost all my wining plus 3/4 of my bankroll.
This weekend I went to level betting. I am up a nickle if I was betting like last weekend I would be up 3 dimes but I could not.
For me I have to practice bankroll management.

I think the key in all of this is to never let it get too serious. If you bet smart, and by that I mean limit your bets to only top picks and not overbet your stash, then you should be okay.

Everyone has bad spins. 3 weeks ago, I was in a slump, losing like 7 straight bets. But lately, I've been hitting everything I bet something on. It's all in cycles.

So why do I bet? Well, for one it makes games much more interesting. That's for sure. But also, it provides a little extra bread when I need it. I'd hate to think anyone would be doing this just to survive.

sorry to hear about it, hope you come back strong after a break, if not, best of luck in everything else. sometimes it's best to cut your losses and leave it all behind. at the very least you will save yourself from having an ulcer or like you said, ruined weekends
