I took Buckeyes at game time yesterday. Why? I looked at the Mich St- Ohio St score and the Mich St Georgia score. I was leaning Texas and switched.

Point to 1 game that Florida has played this year and influence me. Im looking at Bama, Fla looked like crap vs Bama who was gross overrarte. Bama had a hick qb with a 1970's hairdo, who could not make a play for the life of him. If he wasnt such a loser Bama would be playing and they are awful.

The only thing that I have seen so far is someone showed me a list of hesiman winners losing their bowl game and it is about 80%.

Only reason you need is the sun is Orange and the sky is Blue.

Just take Florida and you will win. Don't get into all this they haven't played anyone crap. I could say the only one Oklahoma that was any good was Texas and they BARELY beat a crappy Ohio State team in the last 30 seconds of the game who that Ohio State team barely beat Wisky. They only put up 35 points on that texas team and had 45 scored on them. How many do you think Florida is going to lay on them. Big 12 offenses this year over rated and SEC defenses this year under rated.
Who else did OK play? Missouri? Needed OT to score over 23 pts and almost lost in Bowl! OK State? Lost in Bowl! Texas Tech? Lost in Bowl! TCU? Lost in Bowl! Nebraska? Squeaked by a clemson team that Bama demolished but you say Bama was no good so what does that say about Nebraska? Who else? Cincy? Got clobered in bowl game by VT. How about Chattanooga, Wash, Wash St and teams like that? Please spare me the humor of this thread. OK has benefited from a weak schedule it looks like with season records and bowl flops. How many top Defenses has Oklahoma faced this season? 1 or 2 maybe? Last I had checked Florida had faced I believe 8 of the top 37 defenses in the Nation this year. If you really need a reason to switch here's two more. 1 I will bump this thread after the games over and 2. If you want some padding in your wallet. There's 2 reasons to switch sides to Florida!

most explosive player on OK is OUT.
FLA has a better defense than OK.
Urban Meyer destroys Bob Stoops in big games.

I will give you a handful of reasons to switch...

Look at what the high powered offenses have done this bowl season....NOTHING. WIth d-coordinators getting 4-5 weeks of preparation they have clearly had the edge.

Ohio St held Texas (who averaged 44ppg) to 24
Ole Miss held Texas Tech (who averaged 45ppg) to 27
Oregon kept Okie St in check for the most part....

What were the other themes in those 3 Big 12 bowl games?

All three Big 12 teams got absolutley run all over.

Ohio St ran all over Texas (until Beanie got hurt again)
Ole Miss ran all over Tech
Oregon ran all over Okie St

You cannot use the Alabama/Utah game as a basis. Alabama came out and basically said they had no respect for Utah, didn't prepare for Utah and were still pissed they lost to Florida. If Bama and Utah played 10 times and all of the selfish punks on Bama actually played for the name on the FRONT of their jersey instead of the name on the BACK, Bama wins 8 of the 10 times.

Florida will run all over Oklahoma
Florida is as fast (or faster IMO) then Oklahoma
Oklahoma's 2nd best offensive playmaker is OUT (big factor)

Florida still played in the SEC. Georgia had 19 players with seaosn ending injuries. That was the primary factor to their demise. LSU had all kind of QB issues. They looked pretty good in their Bowl game against a very good Ga Tech team didn't they? And they lost to Ole Miss because they missed an extra point!

Big play on the under in this game
Even bigger play on Florida

A couple more items.....

Heisman QB's are indeed 2-5 in BCS title games.....

Plus, you cannot overlook Oklahoma's recent BCS non-success.

They lost to Boise St for crying out loud....got murdered by USC and lost to a less talented WVU team....those FACTS cannot be overlooked.

I've been leaning on FLA for quite a while now, they have more pure athletes..they can play in any type of game....you add motivation (which is huge for both teams in the game obviously) to true athletes. you have your winner..

1) Big 12 overhyped--bunch of arena league style teams that can't play defense for shit

2) Tim Tebow--this kid is a beast, will make plays when they are needed. Bradford will not have it so easy in this one.

3) speed, speed & more speed

4) Urban vs Bobby---total mismatch

5) oh, did I mention speed?

6) Florida too physical

As much at it pains me to admit it, UF by double digits.

Noooooo. Go take another look at bowl results.

What in the world do you see to make you think Florida has faced better competition? Ole Miss is a very good team -- and won that matchup -- other than that the schedule is full of mediocre opponents.

Totally false. UF has had the better schedule, Bama, LSU, UGA, FSU, Ole Miss... None of these teams are mediocre. According to the bowls the SEC looks mountains better than the BIG 12. Kind of a shame the most dominant left side of any o-line in college football didn't play vs Utah otherwise that would be a win as well.

My point is, if NOBODY in the Big 12 can stop OU and not one of those teams have been able to stop anybody in the bowls... how the hell is that a competitive schedule?

I may be wrong, but doesn't OK have a higher SOS than Florida? From everywhere I've looked, they do. I'm sure the FL backers will say this is meaningless, which it may be, but how can you argue that FL had a tougher schedule?
