Both guys showed class last night. America will benifit from Obama as long as he gets support from everyone. He can't do it on his own.

Well I don't think the Republicans have enough power to stop him. He will get anything he wants pushed through.

How scared can you be, we have had 8 years of GWB.

GW didnt have a full house and senate trifecta...remember he was able to do what he did because some Dems voted w/ him...the same ones that will help w/ Obamas agenda

Class election? Please, McCain took numerous shots at Obama throughout the campaign. This is the same man that referred to his opponent as "that one". This is the same party that was sending out robocalls to Cubans in Florida yesterday saying Fidel Castro endorsed Obama.

If you call this classy, I would hate to see what you call dirty.

As far as Obama being able to get what he wants, it doesn't work that way. Anyone who follows politics know that the President has the title but the Congress controls the purse strings. The person who has just as much power will be Nancy Pelosi & if Obama doesn't play ball with her, things could get hairy.

Incorrect

The 109th congress (or 1st two years of W's second term) had a Republican majority

As did the last 6 or so years of Clinton's administration. I'd say that, on the surface, those were 8 pretty damn good years. Much better than the shit sandwich served to us by san fran nan and cocksmoker reid...

As Andrew Sullivan put it:

What I've learned from watching McCain these past two months is that there's nothing he wouldn't do if it could get him a small bump in a news cycle, polarize the electorate, and appeal to a rabid base that is now his only source of power. My view is that McCain has shown his character in this campaign: it's vicious, petty, lazy, reckless, vain and dishonorable."
