I coached baseball and a team we played went 0-18 both seasons in majors, most of the teams beat them 17-4 or something close, my team beat them on avg. 28-0 but it wasnt like it seemed, it was almost impossible for us not to bat around in every inning 5runs x 6inn= 30-0 ass whopping.......if we bunted we beat it out if we swung it was a hit.

I caught a lot of shit for running it up but I wasnt going to tell my boys to strike out on purpose.

disgusting,attrocious,pathetic.

After half time when the coach did not let up and continued to press
i would have pulled my kid off the floor and let that **** of a coach have it.
I tell ya my kid would never play for that clown again.

Was Spurrier his mentor.

As a coach, this was as classless as it can get. This is not professional sports and there's no need to embarass or show up the other team in that manner. It seemed like this coach had a personal agenda the whole time with getting 100 points since he stop the pressure after they hit triple digits. There were some teams we could've murdered in baseball this past season but I chose to win with dignity and respect instead of showing the other team up. We aren't stealing bases, knowing the other team can't make the throwdown, up 16-0 in a 10 run rule game and etc.

And were the fans (parents and friends) cheering this on since it was at their gym? Pathetic.

Atleast the boys team went in there after that game and won. Maybe that says something about this place after a special needs school beat them. :nohead:

the only issue here is that the coach kept the heat on til they scored 100.

for that he should be fired.

but you cant tell your kids to shoot and miss.

if they ran back on defense and ran their normal offense and scored 100 , i would have no issue with it.

fuck that that is fucking bullshit. How can you justify that? Does the coach actually feel good about that? That is such bull shit.

tatehill - they aren't handicapped, the article stated they have learning problems

teddy - your story is completely different. in this story the star point guard kept stealing the ball from the other team at halfcourt and kept making layups when they were up 70. Imagine watching that.

That is extremely sad. Fuck that

Maybe everyone in the crowd got a free taco if they scored 100 points.

HPark beat me to it....

But seriously, run down the clock and let up a little on D, that's ridiculous.

There are any number of things a coach can do to slow his team down. All five have to get a touch before a shot, no player can score on consecutive possessions, crap like that. You shouldn't have to explain stuff like this to someone coaching kids. If you do he shouldn't be a coach

Yep, not much you can do in baseball.

8th grade, we won 35-3.

Think it was the 5th inning. One of the parents approached the ump and coaches. She said her kid had to go home and get some sleep (it was a school night). That was it, game over.

It just so happened, the losing team only had 9 players. So that forced the issue. Why continue the ass-kicking vs 8 players.

Damn the 10-run rule!

Championship game in 6th grade. We're up 8-0 in the 1st, 0 outs. I hit a grand slam, but the inning ended at 10-0.

Ended up losing that game by a couple runs.

Still bitter.
