A California girl's father found a bag of methamphetamine in his daughter’s trick-or-treat pile of candy Friday night and authorities are working to locate the person who may have given it to her.
Police in the San Francisco Bay area town of Hercules said they were trying to determine whether the person intended to give the plastic bag contianing 0.1 gram of crystal meth to the child while she was going door-to-door on Halloween, NBC Bay Area reported.
The individual, if found, could face felony charges for possession of a controlled substance.

The news came the same weekend that a Spokane, Wash., boy found a nail inside a piece of candy he had been chewing. When the mother subsequently looked through the rest of his candy, she said in an ABC report that she found multiple pieces of candy with nails embedded inside of them.
