Take a look at UC Riverside at the winless Loyola-Maramount game. Riverside is -2.5 right now. I think Riverside is clearly the more talented team and I really don't think Loyola-Maramount stands a chance to cover.

Next, look at the UC Davis at Citadel game. citadel is +1. On Paper this game does look like a Pickem but Davis has been terrible on the road all year. I really think these are both very good picks.

With Regards to Cuse -12.5 I hope you win! However, I am afraid of this pick I could easily see it being a ten point game like Cleveland State @ WVU earlier this year. Good luck and keep up the great picks!

Citadel looks awesome on paper, but crappy period. Check out all of the losses UC Davis had on the road. All pretty good teams, while Citadel can't beat any average team. That's why Citadel is +1.5, when they really should be -5 favorites. Was about to jump on Citadel too before looking deeper.

GL to you either way.

Syracuse -12.5

I continue to believe that Syracuse is a top ten caliber team and maybe even a National Title contender with or without Eric Devendorf. On Saturday Syracuse came back to the court after finals and showed a bit of rust since not playing since December 3rd. Rather, then taking advantage of a Long Beach State team coming across the country the struggled until finally pulling away in the second half. Cleveland State has been up and down all year and when they are down, it is for the most part due to poor offense. Cleveland St is shooting just 41% forcing thier defense to step it up from whistle to whistle. However, Cleveland St's defense is not capable of keeping up with the athletes on this Syracuse team. The Vikings have no answer for Johnny Flynn, Eric Devendorf, Paul Harris, or Arinze Onuaku.

Cleveland St is a two man show with Norris Cole and J'Nathan Bulluck. Bulluck leads the team in points per game and rebounds per game but may run into some trouble trying to battle for a board down low with the 6'9-275 pound Onuaku. Bulluck is listed at 6'5 and 240 which makes even Harris a tough match up for a rebound.

The Vikings have played some solid teams this year. They lost to Washington by 15 behind a 31% shooting effort, in a 10 point loss to Kansas St they hit just 37.5%, in a 2 point loss to Butler they shot a pathetic 25% and in a 10 point loss to West Virginia they shot just 33%. All the while in those four games the Vikings totaled just 213 points, also known as 53.25 points per game.

Now if Cleveland St is going to struggle to score and are going to struggle to rebound just how are they going to stay with a top ten team that can run the floor and score in bunches. Not to mention Syracuse shoots 50% from the field and has put up big points at home all year long. I think Syracuse rolls in this one.

Syracuse 74, Cleveland St 55

Riverside looks good on paper but I think I have learned my lesson of laying chalk on two shitty teams on the road. Marymount is going to be hungry for thier first win, especially playing at home and UC Riverside has some streaks where they struggle to score which tends to hurt them at home. Dating back to 06' Riverside has lost 17 of 18 on the road. I am not willing to bet on this team on the road.

Citadel is a strong pick. Pretty much any short line the home team is always a good play but in this case I like Citadel a lot. Some teams can't find ways to win on the road and UC Davis looks to be one of those. Although, in my opinon they have the best player on the floor in Harden, I still like Citadel at home.

Gl with whoever you decide.

This is what is also keeping me off this game. Citadel is a good pick but they just have to prove they can beat a capable team. Even with UC Davis playing bad ball on the road it is hard to back either side.

Gimmee always love the quick responses and well researched advice. You are the best keep it up man!

Didn't want to be the one left in the cold when Cuse wins big so I took Cuse. Thanks!

Tailing you on the Cuse. You seem pretty confident with this pick otherwise you wouldn't have such a long write up. Hopefully they don't play as selfish as when I seen them play. They seem to have no regard for team play by chucking the ball up whenever they felt like it whether they were open or not. They also had a lot of turnovers, but hopefully they have it under control now. Flynn is pretty talented. Let's go Cuse!

Give me a break...

UC Davis lost to Sacramento State on the road by 12 friggin points, one of the worst teams in Division 1. They also struggled to beat Bakersfield last week at home, another team that would be lucky to be top 300.

The Citadel's win at Georgia Southern is a much more impressive win then any one that UC Davis has had...

I am very confident in this play. Cuse is just the better team and seems to not be getting the respect they deserve. People are still doubting them even though they have the best PG in the country and maybe the most talented 4 man lineup (w/ Devendorf) in the Nation aside from UNC. Harris, Onuaku, Flynn, and Devendorf are all VERY good players.

Most likely. Only other play that came to mind was Syracuse - the points 1st half but I guess this time I will wait and see if they can cover a 1st half this year.

just be careful gimmedat...cuse has potential and should win this game by 20 , but they usually play to the level of the competition. Hopefully they will realize that cle st is capable of beating them if they get a lead like every other single team has done this year at the dome. If cuse falls behind by DD in the first half against this team, THEY WILL NOT COME BACK. I know its not til saturday but you better believe that this team is having a look ahead look ahead game with Memphis coming up...they could give two shits about cle st and or canisius and will probably put it on cruise control in preparation for Memphis on Saturday...Hopefully Jim doesnt let them do this and they do what they should do and win both these games by 15-20 pts. And as for cle st shooting poor...go look for a team this year that has shot poorly at the dome...it doesnt happen. I think the rims are 3" bigger around than anywhere else in the country. Cuse loses 1 or 2 games a yr at the dome as of late that they SHOULDNT and this one scares me. Good luck and lets hope my cusies blow cle st and canisisus out of the water to set up the game of the weekend

even with all that said this might be a game to action...

have a small chance of playing like shit and only winning by a few buckets but also have the potential to beat cle st by 30 points

Very excited for that Saturday game. Everything you said is true but the thing that makes this a good match up for Cuse is that Cleveland St just cant score against good teams. If they struggle to score tonight they can lose by a ridiculous amount and I think thier scoring woes will not let them get any kind of lead over Cuse. Cuse seems to be a 2nd half team for the most part and I expect Cuse to glide through the first half, up by maybe 7-10 or so and then blow the doors off and get the cover and a possible 20 pointwin.

Go Cuse!
