Watching the Iowa/Iowa State game. Iowa up 14 with 2 minutes left. Quarterback sneak the ball 3 times lol. Then decide to take a safety with the punter with 28 seconds left. Now a 12 point game. Congrats on State backers.

It was smart, safe football. The coach didn't give a fuck about the pointspread. They still needed two TD's after the safety to come back and he knew that was smarter than giving them good field position.
There were plenty of plays where Iowa St. could have had an easy cover anyway (i.e. 3 missed field goals, Iowa St. 3rd and 3 from the 1- no score, 81 yard punt return by Iowa, etc.) so it's not like you took a real bad beat. Geesh.
