Maybe Cody Ross can come alive tonight OMT. He became one of my favorite Giants last year in post season. He just seems to be an authenic guy. Probably would have made a good Sailor or Marine in another profession.

He is really a good guy who unfortunately has been struggling all year. The Giants are going to need him against left handed pitchers. He just had an opportunity but failed once again.

Vogelsong has settled down nicely the last 3 innings and currently has thrown 84 pitches. Heart of the Giants order: Beltran, Sandoval, Ross, Huff coming up in the top of the 6th. They need to produce here. 83 pitches for Willis to start the inning.

Reds: 3-1

Harold Reynolds did a segment today on MLB Network where they "unmasked" Brian Wilson. They showed the older clips where Wilson was clean shaven. It was kind off odd to see him in this manner as we are so familar with the beard. Wilson's beard might remind the individual of Samson's hair in the Old Testament as a source of strenght. However as Reynolds showed, Wilson had command and control even before the beard. But as a precaution, we just hope Wilson does not have a Deliah in his life.

Wilson actually just started growing the beard last year and since the Giants were winning, he didn't want to shave it. That spilled over to this year which is why it is so long and full this year.

Giants had bases loaded with no outs and ended up settling for 1 run on a sac fly by Huff. They got nothing from Whiteside and Fontenot following scoring the run. ##)

I am still in a 0-0 tie over here in the NL East Atlanta Florida Game after 5. First team to break through might set the stage for the win. Are Giants making any progress?

Giants had a huge opportunity in the top of the 6th but ended up settling for 1 run (see above post).
