Giants have had enough - Officially Protest Barry Bonds' Walks.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) The San Francisco Giants are tired of all the walks Barry Bonds is drawing this season.

The club will begin selling orange rubber chickens named ''Walk'er'' on Monday, when the Giants open a four-game series against division rival Los Angeles.

The chickens described as ''your average fowl'' will sell for $10, with proceeds going to the Giants Community Fund.

Their purpose? ''To officially protest the number of intentional walks at SBC Park,'' the Giants said.

Entering Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox, Bonds had drawn a major league-leading 94 walks in 57 games, 51 intentional.

bonds is awful as a player. yes he is a great hitter, he swings the bat like nobody's business.

but in two days, not just the 0-7. but yesterday, two balls that went over his head for home runs both catchable. then today, commits an error trying to hot dog and bare hand a ball allowing 3 runs to score on a ball that should have also been caught. then leading off the bottom of the 8th, he doesnt hustle after he hits until half way and gets thrown out by about a step or half a step.

this guy is no more than a DH or a pinch hitter.

RobFunk-Don't forget he was supposed to call that ball instead of the SS yesterday that started that whole mess. Feliz got the error and Bonds is standing there.
