All indications are that summer temperatures will be up in the neighborhood of 5 degrees above normal coming in the not too distant future. Looks to be deadly. West Coast fire season could be a monster. Midwest has drought like conditions and the East Coast could be absolutely steamy. Global warming? Expect to feel it this summer.

It is 90 here with 25-35 MPH winds. Too bad the Cubs didn't have a home game, the total would have been about 15 and I would have pounded the over.

Summer can show up any day as far as I'm concerned. We've probably only had 2-3 days over 80 so far.

WTF?????

Cicades? Wasn't that like 3 years ago? I thought they were like every 17 years?

Only 60F today, which is good since the Fraser river is expected to peak this weekend. Significant flooding from the Northern rivers and still a good amount of the third largest recorded winter snow pack to melt.

Today was 92 but windy and actually felt great. I plan on living by the pool for the next 2 weeks or so as we are looking at solid sun (not good for grass but great for the pool)

Actually, I read somewhere that this year is supposed to be an INSANE year for them.

But it doesn't mean they ALL came out in 1990, and return in 2007.

They can have the 17 years cycle, and cycle differently in different areas.
