FYI they are starting their backup QB on the road.. best bet might be to stay away if you were considering playing Vandy

Georgia is starting to play up to the potential that made them a preseason #1
Vandy will have to play a perfect game to stay within 2 TDs

Georgia run defense is one of the best. Georgia coaching staff should be able to use the film of the success of last week's Mississippi State defensive gameplan and devise an effective scheme. They only way Vandy covers is if they are able to force turnovers which has been a big part of their success.

Adams is not really their back up QB. He's their better QB IMO. Nickson is mobile and shifty, but he's dumb and turns the ball over. Adams is a headier player and more of a passer than Nickson. They've both played a ton and Adams has started his fair share of games.

I also don't agree that UGA is playing up to potential. They looked terrificly mediocre against UT. They weren't able to beat UT by 15 and Ut has been pummeled this year. Yeah they ran up a lot of ydg, but made stupid plays in the redzone all game (and all year really). Vandy has been playing UGA VERY tough the last few years winning in Sanford 2 years ago and taking UGA to the final seconds last year. Vandy's D also leads the SEC in sacks, is 2nd in INTs, and has the fewest penalties. It won't be a huge play for me as UGA has the potential to blow up on someone (See Auburn game last year), but I still like Vandy to lose, but cover the 15pts.

Georgia wins this game in a blowout. Vandy is the biggest fraud in the top 25, getting outgained 292-199 ypg in conference play. Their offense is pitiful and their defense simply is far too unathletic to slow down Georgia. Vandy gets exposed big time in this one. Only laying 2 TDs at home is an incredible gift.

Thats what Georgia backers said last week. Vandy isnt great, but they are better than you give them credit. They damn near beat a pretty good Wake team at Wake.

Getting outgained can be a misleading statistic due to starting field position. The Dores have gotten a lot of turnovers this year and I haven't looked but that could very well be at least part of the reason.

I usually like Vanderbilt as double digit road underdog as they have typically been very good in that role but I am not so sure in this game. Vanderbilt has been living on borrowed time of late getting outgained in almost all their games yet winning. It finally caught up with them last week and I expect them to have trouble moving the ball this week. I think Georgia wins this one going away.

First of all Vandy has not played Wake this season. Second, getting outgained can be a misleading stat in a single game. But over the course of a season, a team that consistently gets outgained by such a wide margin is almost always a below average team.

LOL then who am I thinking of? Oh Crap - Ole Miss. Well it still doesn't really change the meaning of my post. Playing close games and winning toughens a team mentally. Point being - they arent scared of UGA.

Doesn't matter if they are afraid of UGA or not. They are so athletically inferior that they won't be able to overcome it.

Then how do you explain the last two years?

Vandy had a lot better team last year talent wise. This is Georgia's best team yet. The gap has widened between these teams no doubt.

They had a better team yet this year they are 5-1? How does that work? Anyway - I stated my opinion.

Their stats were a lot better last year. They are living off turnovers, giving them a false record. Once those turnovers dry up, this team will start getting its' ass kicked. Keep in mind that they only returned 9 starters this season, so it is most certainly a rebuilding year, but they have run into a good stretch of luck. They were pretty much dominated by a below average SEC squad last week. What makes you think they'll fare any better against one of the elite teams in the conference on the road???

I dont know about the line in this game. If UGA comes to play, we win big, but we are really banged up on both sides of the ball. The O line in particular is hurt. I would probably pass on this line and look for UGA next week. LSU should beat south carolina...maybe by only 7 or so. I really think UGA goes down to LSU and wins on the road.

History means alot esp in the SEC. For example Vandy plays UF tough as nails most of the time. Just bec they only have 9 returning starters doesnt mean anything. They have an uppercalssman laden secondary, 3 jrs on the DL, an experienced QB, 3jrs on OL, and 3 upperclassmen at WR. Starters leave every year, but these guys have experience and most played a lot last year.

Thanks for the feedback
Lots of good points made.
Back QB could be a big problem.
But it seems everyone is UGA. I might take Vandy for some small action. A 1/2 unit on them.
I have played them all year and they have covered for me. Last week they were in postion but threw an INT in the last few minture.
Thanks again for the feedback

If this is GA's best team yet, I hate to see their worst. Barely got by So. Carolina, unheard of 1h blow out by Bama (at home). And also, everyone said they'd run thru Vols. They only won by eleven at home! This is not the Georgia that was hyped up in the beginning of the season.

Just in case you don't know anything bout football, and I really sincerely don't mean to be degrading or disrespectful, but turnovers are taught, not luck.

You think Vandy's turnovers are by chance or luck? No, they are thought that. They are thought to hold onto to the ball tightly. THey are taught to strip the ball and go after it. These things are taught, not just by accident or chance.
