damn good to see you, brother. SoCar needs to keep your offense off the field as much as possible. So they need to grind it out with all those RBs. But the problem is, as you said, UGA front 7 is damn good. As good as SC's OL was supposed to be, they have been lackluster to say the least. Other thing is, even when they give Thompson time, the damn WRs can't get open. It's like they don't know how to break off routes and get open. That's one big thing SC misses from Ellington. If SC can grind it out and eat up a lot of clock and keep Gurley, et al off the field, that's their only shot. IF Dylan was throwing it well, I would like his chances against the UGA back 4. But he's not. He's missing high, he never checks down to his RB wide open in the flats, he hesitates, misses wide open guys, stands stiff in the pocket and locks his plant leg making his balls sail high. It's crazy. I think it's all mental too. But he's been in the system what, five years now? If he ain't got it now, he ain't got it. And it's tough to run the zone read SC had so much success with when Connor Shaw ran it because DT is not a threat to run. Half the time it's obvious it's a predetermined give to the RB so defenses can just tee off. This game is always wacky as shit. SoCar back four has been real bad. Middle of the field is wide the fuck open. Sorry for rambling. /stoneremoji
On another note, are you making the trip to Columbia?
