Take Georgia. Big. Gurley, Chubb, Michele, WHO-THEFUCK-EVER, is going to push SoCar's shit in. SoCar will not be able to slow down their running game. That single back toss sweep is going to kill Carolina. Just like it did last year. And just like it did when UGA played Clemmy. A month ago I felt good about Dylan Thompson attacking the UGA secondary. But not anymore. He is not a good QB. More "analysis" to come.

UGA hasn't scored more than 20 points in Columbia since 1994. I imagine that will change this weekend.

@KegsnEggs: Georgia opens up a 3.5-point favorite over South Carolina at the Wynn.

All depends on how USC starts the game. I am pleased as punch on Pruitt on adjustments. I agree with USC having their backs against the wall here. I believe 100% last week was a look ahead. UGA front 7 is nasty. Thompson will have to sling it, which he did decent last year.....don't know if he can handle the pressure of being the man.

Spurrier knows how to beat UGA regardless. The Vegas line opening that low is a sign to me. Don't want to see shoot out because I have little faith in Hudson. UGA gets a 10 pt lead by half, it will get ugly. I think it's going to be a tight game.

damn good to see you, brother. SoCar needs to keep your offense off the field as much as possible. So they need to grind it out with all those RBs. But the problem is, as you said, UGA front 7 is damn good. As good as SC's OL was supposed to be, they have been lackluster to say the least. Other thing is, even when they give Thompson time, the damn WRs can't get open. It's like they don't know how to break off routes and get open. That's one big thing SC misses from Ellington. If SC can grind it out and eat up a lot of clock and keep Gurley, et al off the field, that's their only shot. IF Dylan was throwing it well, I would like his chances against the UGA back 4. But he's not. He's missing high, he never checks down to his RB wide open in the flats, he hesitates, misses wide open guys, stands stiff in the pocket and locks his plant leg making his balls sail high. It's crazy. I think it's all mental too. But he's been in the system what, five years now? If he ain't got it now, he ain't got it. And it's tough to run the zone read SC had so much success with when Connor Shaw ran it because DT is not a threat to run. Half the time it's obvious it's a predetermined give to the RB so defenses can just tee off. This game is always wacky as shit. SoCar back four has been real bad. Middle of the field is wide the fuck open. Sorry for rambling. /stoneremoji

On another note, are you making the trip to Columbia?

Team typically improve between games 1-2 however So Carolina gave up 6.3 ypc on the ground to ECU and I don't think there was a Girley toting the rock. I'm not sold on QB Thompson as the more he has to throw the ball the worst they are. If they cant get a ground game going, I dont know how they stay in it. But as you know these teams are very familiar with one another.

One other note in this series, when this game is played in weeks 1-3, UGA is 8-3 since 2002 as it might mean UGA has been healthier early in the season as compared to mid season.

All this UGA talk is just about forcing me to take the cocks. I don't disagree with anything anyone has said. Cocks have looked pretty bad. Having said all that, seems like the bet is SC....lol

I'm going to watch this one all week.

No injuries coming out of the ECU. Per SOS in his weekly teleconference yesterday, all are healthy coming out of ECU. Mike Davis had some banged up ribs coming out of the A&M game but they didn't seem to slow him down Saturday.

Wish I could make it. My 5 year old started football this year and I am coaching his team. Looks like my days of traveling around the SEC is over for the next 15 years or so. Always loved visiting William Brice....crazy ass place.

BTW......This game smells of 2008. A down SC team with a UGA team riding high on all kinds of athleticism.

Georgia has too many major rivalry games in part cause many teams raid this state for our high school talent......Whereas majority of teams have one or two, Georgia has 5 each year where teams have a stronger tendency and urge to play over their head that the Dawgs have to get through...

When you're playing well, yes, everyone wants to play well against you. Same can be said for a lot of teams.

That is true, but the difference is in other big talent-rich states like Florida, Texas, and California there are several options of big name schools to play for whereas in Georgia it is one really big school...Most don't grow up wanting to play for Georgia Tech and may not have the academics anyway.........So then you get all these players from Georgia showing up on teams like Auburn (a reason why some call them West Georgia) and several other schools looking to play the game of their life against the Georgia Bulldogs since they grew up here in Georgia, but there wasn't enough scholarships to go around.........This doesn't even include the major rivalry game against Florida that Georgia plays each year.
