George W. Bush is Fundraising Personally for His Library

Don't say that former President Bush hasn't been hit by the crumbling economy he handed off to President Obama. Friends tell us that it has slowed the drive to raise some $500 million to build and endow the George W. Bush Presidential Center at Dallas's Southern Methodist University. "It's a bad environment," says one. Bush is taking no chances: He's making donor calls himself, and even his dad, the 41st president, is helping out, as are former aides like Karl Rove. In the future, say associates, look for Bush to host fundraising events in order to meet a goal of completing construction in 2013. But for now, "he's laying low," says one.

He should skip the Library & write a book & donate the proceeds to the treasury to help pay for the bills he ran up.

What books is he gonna have in it?
Coloring books? Ones with lots of pictures, I presume

Wonder if will have that pet goat book there too

They could shave some off the cost by doing away with the parking lot. No one would notice.

I think it should be part of the stimulus Bill cause when the people go to his library to read a book they will spend money on their travel to get there. i.e. gas, food, tolls, trinkets, memorabilia, and other stuff that will stimulate this here economy. This is what I think about this here issue.

I heard they still have a an open space for a Bush Library on the sixth floor of the Texas Book Depository. Been vacant since 1963.
