Thats right. I voted for him...twice. I am a conservative's conservative both socially and fiscally. And, I thought ole George was too. But, he is a liberal...at least he is a fiscal liberal. This bailout is the icing on the cake. The last 8 years the govt got bigger and the deficit got huge and now this bailout will cause us all to pay until our children are grandparents.
Of course, predictably the folks even more liberal than ole George (Dick Derbin, Jesse Jackson, Nancy Pelosi) are coming in and saying "If you're gonna bail out the banks, you gotta bail out the homeowners in foreclosure". Good lord where does this end? The bad debt repository was bad enough but, now the ultra liberals want the idioits who signed a mortgage note they could not afford to be bailed out too?
Ok, what the hell, I wanna be bailed out too. My house went down $100k in the last two years so, where's my government check? Also, I lost $50k when the tech bubble popped in 2001. I want that back too. Dont tell me I dont get a check because I make my mortgage pmts. If that's the case, I'll just stop paying.
