Shrink, now this is the type of threads I enjoy reading.. Good job..

Now back to GA.. Are you kidding me?? This book only wrote barely 19 dimes a day on average??

WTF?? Talk about a small corner store operation we have here boys. I have one 22 year old kid in the local bar here around the corner of my house who I bet with, who writes down more volume than GA per day. .

Wow!! This is shocking to say the least. I wonder how many other books on rx and mw write this little amount of action.

Man, this GA was small.. How in the world were they able to afford to pay all those expenses and rent and employees, office space, license, etc.. ???

Geez, even when I was booking back in my hay days, we always had at least one guy who would bet more than 19 dimes in action on one phone call every night. He'd bet dimes across the board. GA didn't even get 19 dimes a day from all their employees, and we had NO expenses back then except a cell phone bill and gas for the car to run around and collect.

Makes you wonder. Good job Kenneth..

Ball Rash,

People deserve to know the truth, advertisor or not...

If you cannot appreciate WHY I did this, then you need to read some other threads about whether of not there was money behind them...

I think this crystalizes some things that posters have a RIGHT to know...

If they didn't even have a 150 bankroll, why would the Rx sell them premium advertising for 5 dimes a month?

I guess that's my point ! Get it ?

If you don't get my point read JC's post above mine maybe that will make it clearer !

acw,

that is a great question, and I am willing to bet it doesn't.. The books usually don't count bonuses when they figure out wins/losses.

Boy was their handle very small. How the hell did they even make it this far. They didn't even need an office. I swear, they could have booked from their living room. Mike could have done this alone in his underwear in his mothers basement and have NO expenses.. Man, he didn't even need Freddy boy. Why was freddy even there for?

19k a day was their handle??

Joey,

We never sold GA a Premium position...

They were standard...

Also, how the hell can anyone know what their bankroll REALLY was?

You of all people should know this Joey...

no possible way that is true. They lost $160,000 and that bankrupted them? Also I find it funny starting in January they lost well go back to Dec 2002, Nov 2002, Oct 2002, etc. etc. They must have been up or that would be listed as well. If they did anything in those months they are sitting at less than $100,00 which is small change for an outfit with that many customers and post up funds. What were there expenses, payroll? This just does not seem possible to me at all

Ivan, they lost 151,500.. And that probably doesn't include bonuses.. Also, doesn't include advertising ( i assume) and some other expenses.

Well, how in the world does a book lose roughly 2.5% over 6 million in bets? A good book with the usual handle of 4.5% should have won 270k, not lose 151,500.

And it's not like they had weak lines. They had the worst lines I have ever seen. There was NO value whatsoever there. All their lines there were numbers right off the screen. And baseball was horrible.. 20 cent lines always. How the f uck did they lose 150+ dimes.

Can someone please explain to me how?? I'd really love to know.

Unless Mikey boy was gambling on the side. That is the ONLY explanation I can find because NO WAY a book loses 2.5% over 6 million in bets.

150k would have a gross loss... now start adding office space, employees, finacial processing fees, marketing costs, etc.

and those figures would include bonuses as they are wagered, so even some of those winning months could be losers after you consider that winning back bonus cash is just breaking even at best.

sick,

In all honesty if this is only their betting result, then we will see soon many more books tumble!
