Is anyone watching this travesty? Team looks disheveled. Gary looks like he just had a stoke.

After losing at home to Morgan State, getting blow out at Duke, and lack of recruiting I think Maryland dumps him after this year.

I see Maryland throwing a bunch of money at Mike Bray and bring him back home to Maryland. Mike is from Bethesda, went to DeMatha, and has a lot of ties to area. It makes sense.

it's time for a chance. i thought williams would be one of those guys that would leave under his own conditions. sadly that doesn;t seem to be the case any longer. they just don't get the players they once did. JT3 has really done a number on Williams.

I don't know about that. Maryland has a lot of money and have nice facilities out in College Park. Kids just don't want to go play for Gary anymore and Gary doesn't want to recruit the new age recruits that come along with handlers from AAU and what not.

If Bray comes in there next season and they can get a big man, I could see them making the tournament. They have some talent there and they only graduate 1 senior.

Good point HD.

The resurgence of Georgetown does not help. Also the DC metro area is stacked full of top recruits and Gary is losing these kids to Gtown, Duke, UNC, and 'Nova.

The Washington DC Catholic league (WCAC), located 15 minutes for College Park, has 4 of the top 10 PG in the country for the class of 2010. One is going to Duke, one to UNC, one to Tenn, and one to Gtown. Gary came up with nothing. That just can't happen.

College Park goes silent LOL. Yeah pretty much agree that he's through unless he pulls a lucky rabbit out his ass. Over the past few years, he missed out on Durant, Jeff Green (how could he miss out on f-in Jeff Green when his school was fucking up the street from main campus???), Beasley and more local players he once would be able to rangle in. The touch is gone and his job will be too soon.

It is a lock that Maryland can get him. He deals with recruiting restrictions at ND. He would have a lot easier time getting kids in Maryland. Not these corn feed white boys hes got playing for him now.

Vazquez turns the ball over too much. He can play, but they are asking him to do too much, and he is trying to hard.

Bowie is alright.

Gary kind of got screwed because of Gus Gilchrist. He was supposed to be playing there, and was even practicing with the team, but some academic issue came up and he did not get into Maryland. He ended up at S. Florida, and is a some what legit big man. Would of really made a difference on this Maryland team with no size. But that is the way the cookie crumbled and now Gary might be on the outside looking in.

I went to Mt St Joe in Bmore. We have a PG Eric Atkins who is a stud. Was at game last week and Mike Brey was in attendance watching him. Of course no signs of any MD coaches. We should be all over him.

I know the DC area recruiting game well, and Gary sucks. I goto a lot of High School games and see Coach K, Roy Williams, and JT3 at a lot of games. JT3 is always at the WCAC playoff games. He is always looking in the WCAC. He has snagged Austin Freeman, Chris Wright, and Jason Clark out of that league in the last 2 years. You can feed 3-4 scholarships a season from WCAC players. It is that good. Gary lost that territory to better programs.

don't forget about the pipeline Syracuse has established with the Baltimore/DC area as of late! Troy Weaver an assistant on the Boheim staff, and an excellent recruiter was a Baltimore guy, who had several ties with the AAU circuit. He was soley responsible for bringing Carmello Anthony (W. Baltimore) to Syracuse, and Bill Eidlen (Silver Springs, MD) in. Eidlen was a top 25 recruit, and huge part of their national championship run. Hell of a baller, too bad he got in trouble. Anyways along with Mello, and Eidlen, they also got Donte Greene, another top recruit from Baltimore, and Arinze Onaku from Lanham, MD. Team Mello AAU, is going to help to continue that pipeline in the future. They already got CJ Fair, a 5star recruit (45 in class), from baltimore, to go along with Baye Moussa Kieta a 3 star recruit from near by Virginia.

trust me you don't want Augustus Gilchrist. The worst shot selection of any player i have ever seen, and way to soft for his size.

In all that is 5 top 25 recruits Syracuse has plucked right from that area in the last 5 years. If your going to win, you have to have your area on lock. Just look what has happened to St John's because they can't recruit NYC of all places

Ha, I know Bill Eidlen. My best friend went to DeMatha with him. Team Melo is going to help out the connection. They also got Kris Joseph from DC. He played in the WCAC as well at Carroll.

I am hoping Georgetown is going to get Roscoe Smith (2010, #7) off of Team Melo. He is a Baltimore kid. Word is he waiting for UNC to offer him, but not sure if they are going to even have a spot for him.

I really liked Billy, poor kid went bad though once he got to Syracuse it seemed like. In his defense his first suspension he really got a raw deal.

By the way I wish Maryland would have kept Donte Green.
